Most of what should be said about this vitriol has already been stated but I'd like to add that this dialogue, in a self-reinforcing two-party system, not only ascribes racism to be a natural aspect of Republicans (I suppose like Lincoln) but
ALSO implies the Democrat party to be the exclusive party of non-racists. So by her logic, Democrats are essentially never racist. They weren't racist with preferring race over issues in 2008, they weren't racist with affirmative action, and they weren't racist when planned parenthood targets minorities.

Usually she isn't funny but her logic here is quite laughable.

But yes the most important thing is that this is polarizing, toxic filth that keeps us divided and not united against a common enemy- the real enemy.

Of course you are all racists. Probably rich as well. Only the poor and right-minded can survive sucessfully in Barackistan. All others must be destroyed.

Just because you pay all of the social services in this new and glorious realm does not give you the right to voice an opinion that is counter the gospel according to His Holiness Barack.

Jeneene (however you spell her name) Grabarfalow is only the first of the new high priestesses that will speak the truth to all Barackistani's all across our new and glorious 43 states (the other seven were destroyed when they dared to doubt the Great One).

You racist white people who want to keep your money to (ha!) feed your families will be sent to the new Michelle Obama Re-Education Schools to learn the wonders of Obama and to relieve yourselves of some of your needless frontal lobes. (If you have any doubts about that watch MSNBC).

Lord Obama will relieve you of needless things like freedom, job satisfaction, clothing, your own house, guns, and having the bothersome task of who to choose to become your Supreme Leader.

Daily floggings of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity will become your entertainment and (for a limited time only) you too can have toilet paper just like the Supreme Obama (only yours won't be the ACTUAL Constitution).

Doesnt it make Janine Garafolo a bit of a racist to call the people at the tea party racist. Doesnt what she said imply that we cant disagree with Obama because he is black.

Thats kinda like if I am afraid of you because you are black and I dont talk when you are around. That is just as racist as if I walk up to you with a sheet over my head and say "what are you doing out after sundown boy."

It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why? From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S's: slavery, secession, segregation and now socialism.
www.humanevents.com...

African Americans had become democrats over the years since the end of the 60's because the democratic party switched from being the racist party to being a progressive (read socialist) party that stands for redistribution and entitlement programs.

It makes sense for poor people to be democrats because democrats take from the rich (read middle class) through taxation and give to the poor through entitlement spending. Thus, the Democrats bribed African Americans, who have had a history of economic inequality since the end of slavery, to vote for the left.

Historically, it was the southern democrats who were the oppressors of minorities.

Republicans have become the party of the rich by giving them preferential treatment, and tax breaks, etc...

Problem is that no one represents the working and middle class in this country.

When we criticized Bush, we were unpatriotic. Now we criticize Obama, and we are racists. This is how the government, through its propaganda machines (the press) have repressed freedom of speech through manipulation. When that stops working, they will use force.

You are so right! What are these people doing? Disagreeing with some myopic bimbo! Shame, shame. Lets only disagree with the BAAAAD people, like . . uhh. . . anyone who is white! Yeah! And who owns a gun! And who actually PAY taxes!

Damn them!

Desperate attempts by the NWO cronies to discredit the primary goal of Tea Party gatherings when the primary reason for the protests was about the dissatisfaction with this administration on such issues as taxation and out of control spending.

Here goes the race card again called by Garofalo and Olbermann. Who pays their salaries surely it isn't a NWO leftist controled network? Anything to discredit hundreds of successful peaceful organized protests that are all about the truth.

See where Garofalo and Olbermann miss the point it is not about race at all because I will bet money that the mass majority of the protesters do not see obama as black or white, but obama just so happens to be both.

The protesters see obama as a person who is in charge of the taking of their children's and their financial future by the redistribution of their accumulated earnings by the work of their brow through hidden and outright extreme taxation. So Garofalo and Olbermann just because you say it is about race does not make it so and you both can stick that in your pipes because you are both blowing smoke.

Sounds a little silly doesn't it?

There are people everywhere who will choose to let someone else make their mind up for them.

That's not good for anyone.

Thanks for explaining it to me though.

The worst part is that the "End the Fed" protesters have protested before and were ignored..but now they are getting hammered for this...and for no good reason.

I seen sign after sign for "end and audit the fed" at these rallies...cripes racism has NOTHING to do with that at all.

Olbermann sat there and agreed with her..so it's NOT just her as some of you are doing.

This is so far over the line.

For me, its not about it being JG. She just happened to be the one that P'd me off today. I am sensitive to this stuff, but only because I fear what it could lead to. And besides that, it just REALLY gets under my skin when someone thinks that they are way smarter than they actually are. It is probably my biggest peeve.

Oh, I get it now. When Obama was talking about how arrogant Americans are when he did his European Tour '09 he was ACTUALLY talking about JG and Keith Ubermensch.

So he WAS right.

Now Now , no need to cry (reference to your avatar) j/k

My point sir, is that when the race card is played

There is a instant reflex to overcompensate

A man in California killed 2 people, 1 his wife (almost cut the head off

the other guy) And while it was purely a domestic killing (more woman die at the hands of their spouses than any other assailant) The killer being a

black man used the race card , and got away with 2 murders

Off topic , my bad,

But that is my point , the Race card , hard to defend Against

That is definitely worth noting.

With Fox inciting racial fear and MSNB doing the opposite it can only lead to greater entrenchment of the general populace.

It is indeed a dangerous approach, though it is very effective as a divide and conquer strategy by those who wish to keep us perpetually under their thumb.

Edit to add: If this thread is any indication it is working precisely as it is intended.

Wow. Although I wasn't at a tea party (working) I had no idea I was a racist. And according to Janet Napolitano, a domestic terrorist to boot.
Talk about learning something new about yourself! LOL!

Why is it that the only time race is mentioned, it is from someone either on Obamas staff, Obama himself, or a damn supporter?

"A person should be judged NOT by the color of their skin, but by the strength of their character".

Dr. Martin Luther King said that.

Get off the race subject -jeesh-

They're playing the race card, yet this is not a racial issue.

It's a partisan issue, and I even use THAT term loosely.
Face it, The Democratic party, in general, is the party of choice for minorities.
It really shouldn't be, but it is. I blame the Republican's current incarnation for that fact.

My wife and I have a friend who considers himself an anomaly. So much so, that he always introduces himself like this:
"Hi, I'm so-and-so THE gay black Republican."
Not A gay black Republican, but THE, as in singular. He's a minority, among minorities.

In the spirit of non-partisanship, tax protesters have no problem calling out a Republican who isn't looking out for the Great American Taxpayer.
Exhibit A, Tea Party protesters unleash their feelings at Republican Congressman Gresham Barrett, at a South Carolina event. Gresham voted for the bailout. And the audience reminds him of his mistake.
