Does the Antichrist Know He's the Antichrist?

I think the Antichrist is gonna be a Jew.
Why? Jesus was a Jew, so his antithesis should be also. He will be like Jesus, only opposite and very evil. Also, the Jewish Messiah never came. They've been waiting for him to show up for, oh, about 2000 years. So, this charasmatic Jew shows up and alll the Jews waiting for 2000 years jump on the bandwagon and build him up seeing as he performs miracles and such. They might be the first to embrace a "new" God because their Savior never showed up. And the Jews will never acknowledge one as God, unless he's a fellow Jew. So I say Jewish Antichrist.

Interesting point. I believe some sort of kinship might be neccesary, but that's only if the bible teaches most Jews will accept him as the Messiah. I'm not entirely sure that we can pinpoint a verse saying that this is a foregone conclusion. Maybe it won't happen (with just a few false prophets leading people away at best). Blackguard, you should not remove verses out of their proper context, that psalm refers to saved believers in the old Testament church, not everyone.

Little off the topic maybe, but...

I personally think the antichrist is the UN, and the embodiment is the next secretary-general. In the Bible it says (sorry, i cant give straight quotes) that it is the fourth horseman of the apocalypse, and it will conquer (not necessary by force) and bring false peace to Earth. Also, it doesn't have a sword at first, but will be GIVEN one (the current reform, adding military powers for the UN). The AC will be eight king - current general, Kofi Annan, will retire later this year and the next will be eight S-G of the UN.

It also would be convenient, because the UN is a gathering of all the major powers of Earth, which are supposedly under the influence of Satan the Deceiver, and will be gathered in the end for the battle of Harmageddon.

In the end prophecies the new Israel will make three covenants, first two have happened allready, the peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan. The third will be made with the antichrist (the current treaty being made) which he will eventually break. This will lead to the surprise attack of Magog against Israel, Magog being Russia and some of the states of late Soviet Union. It is suspected that Russia is supplying Iran with missiles, who are strangely enough very interested in refining uranium and at the same time preaching how Israel should be wiped out...

These are all very interesting points, and many end-time prophecies are being fulfilled simultaneously first time in history. Only time will tell.

That's a slanderous view of Christianity man, nobody here is preparing themselves as cannon fodder for anyone, at best we are preparing for severe and painfull persecution. We are simply interested in figuring out if we are next to our lord's return, what's so horrid and terrible about that? There's no secret "Christian conspiracy" (ie: lately Ive seen this "dominionist" takeover of America conspiracy floating about ATS).

you may eventually get a figure to attribute this story to in the future, but do not confuse that with a prophecy from a book that science has as good as disproved.

theres been quite a bit of knowlege increase here lately. for thousands of years man has used horses for transportation. up until the 1900s thats all we had. now we are on the outer reaches of the solar system....and everything in between. quite a bit of knowledge increase in a very quick amount of time. look at the last 50 years...a very large leap.

ok who is the one person talking about peace every day. i think that the 9-11- middle east chaos is just a side show to keep every person on this planet distracted. i think the antichrist has other plans. everyones focus is over there while hes doing his thing elsewhere. has he already got a foot in? i mean come on. hey if i was the antichrist i would put the blame on the ones who are against christ(middle east) while i won over the hearts and minds of the ones who claim to be christians, luring them in by telling them about this (fasle peace) from the time they were able to walk. using technology i would do miracles and i would use televison and keep them busy and distracted because thats what the people want. and if i want peace then to them i do the will of god. once its set in motion, it might take a few generations but in the end they will do my bidding. i would act christian, talk christian, become one of them but with just a few little secrets here and there.. such small ones nobody would ever notice. and when they did...too late.

He will even seek to match the resurrection; the Antichrist will seem to have suffered a mortal blow to the head but will then be miraculously resurrected.(11) He will immediately become an object of worship (Revelation 13:3-8) and will set himself up as God in the temple in Jerusalem (2nd Thessalonians 2:4). The false prophet will erect an image or idol to the Antichrist. He will then cause the statue to come alive and to speak (Revelation 13:14-15).

What's all this paranoid planet on, believing that christ and the Devil are entities like something that come's out of a horror movie? That's the fear tatict's of subliminal imaging playing with you're perception's!

I thought it was simple enough for people to distinguish one's own depth of emotion's from one end of their psyche to the other, even if it is is visual phenonona form, it's natural nature! Yet everyone's refusing to recognise the face's of their own soul's from one age to the another, despite the fact that it's part of the next age of one's mental awarness, and yet the planet is filling up with Parkinson's and Alzhiemer's, which is a result of "Don't let the right hand now what the left is doing",. Now work out why you have no magnetic spectrum interexchange process between the natural lgiht and dark spectrum's of this planet, with you're natural syneasthetic code's with you're right hemisphere Bosse, when most of the planet has been discected from it since Darwin! Remembering something I read about the anticrist/dark missaha suposiably he is blad, short, fat (and one eye is swolen, and blind), and will be around in the middleast attacking kingdoms and stuff, have some super powers and bring about falsehoods and stuff.

And I am like, well you can bring plauges and vanquish all of your enemys but your still a ugly bald guy, peh like who would fall for that. "use your satan magic to grow some hair".

If you are that ugly, even if you have all sorts of powers you are still a loser, peh.

If there was an actual anti-christ who was going to perform miracles and be followed by many, I have a suspicion that he wouldn't look like some fat short bald guy. That image doesn't seem to have as much charisma and I thought the stories about a possible anti-christ were that he would be a leader. Maybe I shouldn't ask questions anymore if anyone else has had their hair grow back where it was once balding. I certainly don't want to be accused of having Satan magic. I think I just recovered from heavy doses of second hand smoke exposure in a previous job where almost everyone smoked in the office I worked in except me it seems. I believe that is a more logical explanation of why hair might grow back (maybe vitamins too?) rather than Satan magic. Actually that seems a bit amusing.

I suggest that The Antichrist never quite knows what he is until somewhat near the end of his time of power - but starts out imagining himself to be a champion for God and good, until he experiences a disappointment of some kind. Something 'goes wrong' or fails or does not work out. Maybe because he is shot and wounded near to death; maybe because his plans fail; maybe because some tragedy ovetakes his family or friends: in any case, out of his disillusionment comes a great rage - a need to punish God or at least 'force God's hand', so he mounts an open campaign against the Christian God, which increases in fury as he continues to fail and does not get the answers and satisfaction he demands. In other words, the person that becomes The Antichrist gets bummed out and backslid like any man or woman can - excepting that he/she has great charisma as well as clever wisdom and supernatural power. I suspect that what happens psychologically inside The Antichrist is 'just typical' of disappointed and disatisfied professing Christians. I too have read left behind...but thats besides the point...I personally think he doesnt know he's the anti-christ...but actually starts believing he's a God...thats why we'll KNOW he's the anti-christ...

Another question might be if the anti-christ has a bunch of supernatural power how would he/she not be able to realize something wasn't normal? Would the anti-christ consider himself blessed instead of cursed and believe it was God doing an excellent job of responding to his desires?

How would the anti-christ be able to figure out he was the anti-christ? Of course maybe that is what could make up a future anti-christ. He believes he has been given gifts from God to help the world but loses his way somewhere.

I'm thinking of Pat Robertson. He believes he knows the future and talks about assassination of foreign leaders as a way of doing good. However in reality, some might consider doing an assassination as an evil act instead of good. I'm also thinking of Bill Clinton. I heard his official name adds up to 666 and he could become the leader of the evil UN. Of course he might actually do some good helping interns get some experience at the UN. I wouldn't be surprised if just thinking about this possible evil power was making me feel the evil.
