I'm preparing for a trip to Europe soon.

I'll be travelling to London in May or June of 2009 and I'm basically looking for suggestions of places to visit.

I was there in 2003 but didn't really have time to visit some of the places I would have liked to have visited. This time I would like to do a better job at planning my trip so I am looking for suggestions of things to do and places to visit that would be considered MUST SEE ATTRACTIONS in London.

Conspiracty related attraction preferred, anything related to the NWO or secret societies, etc.

Anything that you can think of that might be worth photographing, please let me know and I'll do my best to capture the moment. If you can tell me where I can find those symbols, I'll be forever grateful.

So, to my fellow ATS members in London, if you happen to see a guy wearing an ATS t-shirt that seems somewhat lost, please be sure to introduce yourself and say "hello/cheers".

Thanks

PS, I promise not to bring any DVD's from WalMart.

Well, for ancient civilizations and the like, you can't go wrong with StoneHenge. The Tower of London, for the creepy and occult factor...

Of course, SH is a bit of a drive.....but if you've never seen it (and I had been to England many, many times prior to finally going out there) it will be either inspiring, or disappointing....depends.

But, hopefully you'll get better guidance from some locals....safe travels!

Drexl nailed most of the best ones there, if you haven't seem them in person before though I'd go for the palace purely because its just such a magnificent building, depending on how into polictics you are maybe the houses of parliament? Westminster Abbey and Big Ben.

I'd suggest the London eye aswell.. just so you can get up there and have a proper look at it all from above, hope the weathers alright for ya otherwise the view from up there can be kinda dismal!

And yeh... the dvd set idea was a nice gesture.. but you can keep em for yourself

Edit to mention, a lot of areas of London have some decent history and interesting sites, but be wary of some of the locals... especially youths hanging outside corner shops drinking cans saying 'ya get me blud'

If you're looking for something slightly creepy, but gothic and very beautiful, try Highgate Cemetery in North London....really stunning place and very photogenic.

Great.
Thanks for the suggestons.
Coincidentally, I was actually getting ready to ask a few more questions here since we'll be leaving tonight.
Will be there for the July 4th weekend.

What is the weather like right now?

What's Wimbledon like if we're not able to get tickets?

Is there such a thing as Wimbledon tail gate parties?

Also, two 16 year old teen boys would like to know where the British girls hang out?

Enjoy your trip! And as for the weather...hot and humid....thunderstorms threatening, and a warning out for extreme heat. That's extreme for the UK, mind you, and if you're from Texas or somewhere similar....it would be a fine cool day!

I don't know too much about Wimbledon, but I think there is an area outside that has big screens for centre court play if you don't have a ticket for the court itself. And I would imagine that there will be plenty of girls there to keep the boys occupied.....
Apart from that, I don't have a clue where they go.

Edit to add....no trip to London is complete without a visit to the lovely, gruesome London Dungeons.....really grisly, and guaranteed to scare the pants off the kids.....

If you run into the French don't be offended that is just how they are.

No racist comment intended they are just different to what we are use to.
just advice from a seasoned traveller.

thanks

Looks like I forgot to come back here and report that we had a great time in London. Though the trip was back in early July I still remember it as if it was just last week.
I didn't get a chance to visit some of the places I was hoping but still had a great time. The folks in England really are quite friendly and very, very helpful, even though they might be heathens. ha!
Seriously, the Brits are very friendly.

I know what you mean about the French, we were there a few years ago and some of the folks, especially waiters, can be a little rude initially but they come around after a while. You just got me started on this subject so I can honestly tell you the French have nothing on the Spaniards.

We went to Madrid, Spain about a month after London and and I was seriously disappointed. I don't mean to offend anyone from Spain but it is what it is and I can only tell you about our experience.
People in Madrid are rude, rude, RUDE, extremely arrogant too and not ashamed to let you know!

Ex 1: I ask a question in Spanish and they reply in English! tisk tisk.

The common folk don't want to help with directions, waiters don't want to take your order, cabbies don't want to give you a lift.

Ex 2: The hotel restaurant host tells us they can't sit us but to go to the bottom level bar to wait. We go to the bar to have a drink and a snack, we try to order what the other couple was having and the smarmy, gay waiter tells us we can't order that.

Excuse the frick out of me!

To cut a long story short, we had a family emergency and had to cut our "vacation" short.
Sorry Madrid, never again will we travel to that city of yours.

The only good thing about our trip to Spain was an ORB that came up on a few of our photos.
I'll post these soon.
