This guy was out riding his ATV while his wife was shooting him . He says the Bigfoot was about 7 ft tall and weighed about 350 pounds.

Why would a bigfoot walk right out in front of an ATV making all that noise? I'm almost positive seeing how the bigfoot creature is so hard to see/capture on video, it wouldn't just walk across a river or stream in plain view of what he knows could be a potential threat. Secondly, how does he know it weighed 350 lbs? Where did you get that info? Worth the watch but I need some sources besides Youtube, call that guy up and get him on ATS

Bigfoot is one cool cat. I've yet to see a video of him chewing on an animal carcass or wiping his backside on a set of ferns. Nope, Bigfoot's not that kind of animal. He can be seen sauntering suavely through the forest and over the rivers, occasionally pointing and winking it those lucky enough to catch a glimpse.

Cool as.

The poster of the youtube video had this information attached:

"My short Q&A session concerning this video is posted on the Mid-America Bigfoot Research Centers forum website. Footage of The Beast Of Gum Hill while ATV riding on 04/05/09 at approximately 6:30pm. This is the 2nd time I have seen this creature/bigfoot called The Beast Of Gum Hill. This is the first time we managed to capture it on video. This is the first known video footage of the BOGH, there was a still photo taken in the early 80's that I remember seeing . The camera used was a cheap digital VuPoint 5.0 With waterproof case that I use while fiming my ATV rides. Local legend has talked about this non-aggressive, reclusive beast for a little over 100 years. The BOGH is around 7ft tall and guesstimated at 350 lbs. I have used the name The Beast of Gum Hill on my ATV videos as a tribute to the local legend. My short Q&A session concerning this video is posted on the Mid-America Bigfoot Research Centers forum website "

Well , you seem to know the habits of a Bigfoot by saying what they don't do

Would you care to enlighten us with the things these creatures DO.

As far as height and weight, 7 ft 350 lbs , he gave a approx guess,

the Bigfoot was too busy twittering to stand on a scale

atv decibel source: atv.off-road.com...

Everything on the list ranges from 90-100 or so on the scale. Compare it to a concert

source: www.deafened.org...
(quick google search I know, sorry)

If you don't understand how sound works, here's another: www.glenbrook.k12.il.us...

Very simple. I never said I knew what this supposed creature does, nor did I say I knew his habits. I'm simply stating the logic that if an animal or even a person experiences something they haven't had recent contact with or know what it is...generally they GTFO. Ever been scared by a noise which you didn't know the source? I was only stating what I have learned from my experiences. Question my motives sir, do not attack me. I never said I knew what bigfoot does.

p.s. - as far as the weight approximation, I didn't feel like looking at the youtube link. I don't like to waste bandwith loading something else over satellite, they have a cap. I just needed to know how he came to the conclusion that it weighed xxxx lbs. vs. the distance viewed and height.... according to the background.

He wasn't attacking you, in fact he raises a very, very good point.

What wild animal does what this supposed wild animal did?

Have you ever seen any kind of wild animal just walk calmly in front of person?
Let alone one on a loud ATV?

Um no, not that I remember actually

But can anyone say what "actions" a bigfoot would do

Who can say, what actions a furry 7 fter would do

Well unless "Bigfoot" is not like a wild animal but closer to Human he could have been curious and wanted to see what all the ruckus was about and when the ATV came closer it decided it was time to leave.

I'm not putting much faith in this being legitimate though.

Well, we know a few things about them don't we?

They're extremely shy and have not been in contact with people for who knows how long (If at all). So we know they aren't going to go out of their way to be spotted by us are they?

Even a Silverback Gorilla is going to be very hesitant about such a noise nearby.

This is not my vid my friend, I was just sharing a find here on ATS

As far as the BF motives , who knows, maybe like a bear , there is a

offspring that the ATV is coming between the vid-ed Bf and it. Some off the

wall ATS-ers would say its one of the 57 types, I , like you, can only

speculate.

But to say this is not how a BF would act , is kinda funny, because we have

no idea "how" they act.

Why are we referring to this as a "bigfoot"?

can you actually see what the "thing" in the video is?

Could be a guy in a gorilla suit?

We don't know how a BF would act....because it's not a proven or real animal.

I'm not saying there can't be some giant man/ape creature living out in some woods somewhere, that has managed to remain undetected and uncaptured for all this time... just saying, how do we know THIS video is one of them??

Actually , How a BF acts or dosen't act can be discussed without any vid

or said animal, thats what we are doin

Theres an Entire thread that breaks grey into 3 types,

what they eat

what TV shows they like

if they use Jenny Craig or weightwatchers

DO WE NOW KNOW GREYS EXIST !!!!!!!!

(i must have missed that memo)

So you're not going to answer any of my questions then?

OK

Just to post a comment on the point about vehicle noise and wild animals, I think you only have to look at all the animals that are killed on the roads to understand that vehicle noise is not a deterrent.

As for the vid, I've no idea what it is.

Fake. The bigfoot creature just appears out of nowhere right in the middle of the frame. I am with the folks talking about the vehicle noise. The noise from quads is tremendous. NOBODY puts decent mufflers on them. You can hear them from at least one mile away. That bigfoot, if he was really there, would have been doing a world record 440 instead of nonchalantly strolling across the stream. People silently hunting will rarely see a bigfoot. NO ONE on a noisy quad is ever going to see one.

There have been several questions brought up about why a "wild animal" would not just run away from something making as much noise as an ATV.

If it is something that is not part of the "normal routine" of the woods, most critters will be inclined to see just what the heck is causing the ruckus.

I live in northern NY and spend a great deal of time in the woods. I will guarantee that I see more deer while cutting firewood with an extremely loud chainsaw than I do huddled up in a tree stand during hunting season. They are careful and don't just blunder into the clearing where I'm working but can easily be spotted on the fringes watching what I'm doing. After a few minutes they decide that I'm not really a threat and go back to their happy little deer routines.

I have similar experiences with squirrels, which are about the most vigilant little fuzzballs out there. These are not your little frisky city park variety, but a somewhat organized community with guards that shrilly announce to the rest of their kind in the area that something fishy is going on and everybody hunkers down and hides until they can sort out what the threat may be. Find a rock or stump, sit down and stay still, and look carefully around. You will be able to see a few peeking out over a branch or around the trunk just watching you. After awhile you will hear them start to signal the all clear (a "chuckling" kinda sound) and they will start to come back to life. I've had them chasing each other around and run right over my feet.

So, I'm not sure how BF's react but I'm sure that there are at least a few that just want to see what the hell is going on.

Just to add to rev post

this says a lot about noise in this quote

no one can say for sure how any animal, BF, will act
