The moon also changes shape at around 0:36-0:37 leading me to believe it has more to do with focusing and zooming than editing.

But in all seriousness, this video strikes me as being the real deal. The only thing that made me question it was why is it so short? Surly if you happen to see something like this in the sky wouldn't you continue filming until you're absolutely sure its gone?

You know, I don't want to give up on this video too hastily.

Keep in mind I'm not saying it is real, but I am saying that the statements of one anonymous poster on a blog claiming to own the video and calling it a hoax is not sufficient evidence to discard it outright.

Perhaps one of our resident image experts can chime in and take a gander at the footage.

Good video, watched it a few times but what I can see is that the lights and the moon move indipendently from each other, like with the slight camera movement.

You guys/gals know what I mean?

Kind of leaning towards faked.....

did you notice the two objects to the upper left disappear into the cloud forms?i was hoping the objects to the left would have done the same or moved in front of the moon to make a spot on the moon!

i myself thought that the objects and the moon moved together pretty much in sync. the distortion of the moon looks questionable! was a pane of glass slid in front of the camera causing the distortion and lights pointed at pane of glass reflecting back to cause the images? i think nasa vidieos have done this process looking out over the cargo bay of the spaceshuttle!

In around January this video was looked at and thought to be a hoax. I remember looking at the account it had been uploaded from. The guy had four videos that featured him and his sister/girlfriend talking over a windy background whilst filming the moon. This is one of those videos; another had a fleet of UFOs crossing right to left.

It could be this guy, Scott Shaubel account. He has 3 of the ones I remember. Funny thing is,,,the videos have been uploaded by him, but they were out a long time before the dates on his account. He may be the original uploader that keeps changing the title of the vids or a guy that's ripped them and renamed them. Any ideas??

I do think this is a fake, and more to the point not a file released by the government, its too new for that for a start.

But, that is one of the coolest things i saw, fake or not

You have a choice!

There is quite an audience.

Send up a balloon, with a cell phone. Call the cell phone to turn on and turn off the lights.

Unless you see high speed motion, or some great ufo indicators, it's probably a man-made phenom.

Where is the rest of the video? and how did they know it was going to come on? just filming the moon for the heck of it. I could easily hoax that with some dark backdrops and a light i can switch off and on.

Nice find dude looks very strange indeed, especially the V shaped formation. Looks real but anyone can cgi these days dude..thanks anyway....

i know i have never been able to be that steady at full zoom.

The camera was obviously on a tripod. No one is holding it steady like that and zoom. I'm an avid shooter and couldn't hold a scoped rifle that steady unless I was using some kind of rest.

It all just looks too convenient to me. Setting up a tripod to get some moon footage while using some really suspect accents and vernacular that is also a little odd for where it's supposed to be from. That being said it just has that funky small that usually comes with a hoax video. Looks pretty cool but just don't look real to me anyway.

Sorry guys but you have to be crazy to believe this is anything at all,for a start why would the British Government be releasing video footage of a supposed UFO from America as the voices on the video are clearly American accents,plus what sort of Aliens fly there space craft light years and then decide to just at that moment some random guy is videotaping the moon (god only knows why hes videotaping the moon) that they decide to put there lights on and then turn them off,wow the thing didnt move or anything,all it did was show some lights and the reaction they give is as though they see them all the time,no panic or amazement...just oh a ufo,typical youtube rubbish is what i think!!!!

It seems like you have copied the title of the video on youtube... what a disgrace... using youtube as a source. This screams fake... and probably is. The whole video seems very staged.

Before you post something you have to think about your topic title and your sources. I seriously think we should disable the embedding of youtube vidoes - it holds so much # these days.

IF those were unreal take a look at these by NASA officials just last year and have ur say plz dont tell me this one is also fake coz u ll look like an ----

Believe it or Not decide and think how big is our Universe is I support the UFOLOGISTS and hopefully some one gets them funding to research any incidents
