This is such bullcrap!

Why is this allowed to happen? Why do people allow this to happen? Why does the U.S. people see this and not do a thing about it? Why don't they care?

Listen to her, she says "ITS ALL ABOUT INTEGRITY". Shes a 'Politician'...which is another language for "better than you" so they must be allowed to do this. I do wonder if anything like this is going on at Parliament House in Canberra at the moment, I really don't doubt it.

Seriously... this is one of the reasons that I do not vote.

Voteing legitimizes the governmental system that I disagree with (Im getting taxed, and yet I am not represented.... Iraq war anyone?)

Voting merely picks who is going to get bought by corporate interests.

Asuming that who you vote for decides what shape the government takes is putting too much faith in a broken system, and being too naive about the Legal imperative for a corporation to protect its shareholder interests.

With the web of laws in place that mandate that a companies first and only priority is profit, you essentially GUARANTEE this sort of crap.

Protest all you want... wake me when you hear the guns.

That tv station is from the city I live in.

well the problem is that while those who come to ats may see this the tv watchers of america will not.We have 98% of the same politicians we had before the last election.When the next election is over we'll have the same as we have now.The corporate controled media will never put things like this on the air so people will simply be happy with thier two cars and tv in every room and vote for more of the same just like they did last time.End of story.

I'm in Texas and this is appalling to me. It looks like some kind of grade school contest.

I doubt contacting the reps will do any good since they obviously did not care about the people watching from the gallery.

I have forwarded it on to my e-mail list and am confident it will go from there. Between two or three of us we reach over 300 people via e-mail.

Don't know if someone else has already mentioned this but the original link in the OP gave me a "removed" message. I've linked the video section of this site in my e-mail so hopefully everyone can see this.

My feeling on this =

video has been removed. Unless you can find it somewhere else and place a new link, or tell us what they did....bumping doesn't help. From reading through other posts, I gather that someone was voting on behalf of absentee members?

If that's the case, I'm not surprised that the general American public won't hear of it...or even care, if they did. No one hardly lifted an eyebrow that Nancy Pelosi was using the military as her own private taxi service....why would they care about votes that don't seem to mean anything to them?

First off I don't own a cell phone, second, I don't watch fox and CNN, I prefer ATS and other online media sources. Third your statment was very rude and condesending and I think your tone needs a tune up.

I don't see this as the huge scandal that some seem to. It is a great example of how those in gov regularly ignore their own rules while extracting revenue from us for every tiny infraction. If we could trust our reps to always do the right thing it wouldn't be a problem. Of course if we could trust them they wouldn't be ignoring the rules. The excuses from the lady rep are just stupid. The speaker can call a break at anytime.

The fact that the vid was taken down from YT does speak volumes though.
