yea about everybody's so called god, if he was so great why put us threw all this suffer just to prove a point to another creation of his, that he is all wise, knowing and powerful. Why didnt he just cut to the chase and wipe the cosmos free of the so called prince of evil/ darkness, in the beginning to get it over with? and dont give me that he wanted to punish him and his followers crap. he could have punish them with non-existence (which equals to death in some sense). Why create earth and humanity and put us all threw this suffering? doesn't anyone find god to act like a dam child with an Ant farm?
I'm starting to believe that the devil wanted to over throw god due to his crazy actions with lvivng creautres he made.

At this moment in time I almost agree with you.
Watching the gut wrenching pain on the faces of the survivors of the earthquake in Italy I find myself asking over and over again WHY!
How can a loving God allow this to continue.
I used to think I had all the answers.
Answers like *Free Will* - and - that you can’t have the pleasures in life without the pain, life is a balance of both the good and bad.
But it’s very hard to keep the faith watching a man bury his whole family, a young man bury his fiance, old people left without a home, food, walking around in the cold with only the clothes on their back.
Faith can be so very very hard.

peace

try this, maybe god; Generator Operator Destroyer is the combined consciousness of all living things, good and evil are the duality that exists in all of us, or for that matter good and evil dont exist at all, just action and consequence.

Respect.

It is indeed childish to think that one might have all the answers. Nobody in this world does, no matter what their claims are, nobody...

Even though (IMO) faith only creates illusion of security and gives people safety "net" from perishing forever, it is enough for many...

"god" is one of the part-evil aliens (not the same as "good") who messed up Natural evolution of intelligent life, not "created" it.
Better that u live your lives WITHOUT wondering whats the matter
that Psychopathic Butcher of Earth. "he" (why never a SHE ?) - assuming you want to believe IT still exists AT ALL, obviously is NOT capable of running this planet properly. In the last 20 years ALONE i can remember Half MILLION killed in Tsunami, Half MILLION killed in Earthquakes, 2 million STARVED TO DEATH (N.Korea etc), 5 million CHILDREN died of DISEASES (world wide), RUANDAN mass murders, Zimbabwe run by Lunatic, MILLIONS of young kids DIE in gang fights for Survival in Brazil / Mexico etc, MILLIONS dying of AIDS in africa, MILLIONS starving in Poverty in INDIA, Vietnam War, Japanese Death Camp 731 (you want to see REAL horror, investigate THAT) etc etc.
So what was the xtian "god" doing all that time ? standing around WATCHING, and muttering "theyre all sinners and got Free will" ?!

dump the animal from your thoughts, and get on with life without it.
good Luck ! dont be lonely, dont be frightened, make friends, and live and die - just like ever the most healthy all eventually will. Life is an overal EXPERIENCE. >IF< we wake up AFTER death, great, we can all meet up and discuss "what was THAT all about", but if we dont wake up, so what ? you Forget you die EVERY NIGHT, not knowing where you "go" and quite happy to shut down your consciousness !

The mass human consciousness reaps what it sows

And every one gets their share of this burden

Thoughts are indeed very powerful

So be very careful what you desire, pray or wish for

If you do not care to play this game of good or evil

Simply stop your focus from adding to it

How does one do that ?

By simply allowing and understanding that everything is happening and unfolding as it is meant to be

Life is so simple

What ever I focus on in my life I make real

Gandi knew this secret

"Be that change you wish to see"

In other words stop blaming and pointing at someone or something else for creating the problems >>> Devil/God/him /her/them ..etc etc

Religion is still used as the scape goat ....
be it God or the devil
they are both still being used as the "almighty" invisible terrorists .....
that get all the blame for mans insanity

take back your own power and be that unselfish change

I've always looked at it like this:

God created us as companions. Not to just mess with us, but to be our friend. God loved us so much that he gave us something few other creations had: choice

We can choose to be without God. This path, however, is one of suffering.

The obvious question is: Why? Why give us choice when we could just as easily be created to be God's sworn companions and nothing else?

Here's my favorite answer:

Let's say you're playing a game of some sort. You have two options. You can either win by your own skill or by cheating. Either way you win. Which victory will you savor more, though? A superficial victory is hard to savor because, in truth, you did nothing to deserve it.

A victory that you actually fought for, however, is something that you can honestly enjoy.

I believe that God looks at us in the same way.

Sure, we could just be superficial companions of God. If we CHOOSE to be with God however, we become something more.

If we go through life's trials and doubts, but remain loyal to God in the end, we have shown to him that we desire to be with him.

Think about it: Would you rather have a friend that you paid to be your friend or a friend that decides to be your friend with no strings attached?

Just because mortals do not understand why light and dark, good and evil, love and pain, life and death, must co-exist on this earthly plain, does not mean God is stupid.

Sentient mortals suffer as an expression of the duality of life as we know it. Many wish it were not so.

But God has made a Promise;

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
Revelation 21:4

From the comfort of your own home or office its very easy to pose such questions and answers.
So next time try and keep in mind that there are many of your fellow U.S. citizens who do place their life in direct and life threatening circumstances, just so you can have the right to post and question anything you "feel" you have the right to.
By the way i am not referring to Police officers or Army officers/soldiers. Its usually the people who you dont see or hear that are the most visible targets and often enough find themselves in tragic circumstances.
One common factor which any human life form has on this planet and either you like it or not, is that when you do realize that your life is coming to an end, you will always here with his/her last few breaths asking for forgiveness of his/her sins.

I thought that this topic needed a touch of reality.

Actually it turns out that the Bible has an answer for you. This is a world without God. Turns out that the death of John the Baptist was far more important than normally thought.

And because of what happened with him it appears that this world is cursed. A 2000 year curse in fact. And that's why his actions don't seem rational. Jesus may love you but the Ancient of Days is royally ticked off at Humanity. I don't have much time here so here's the curse in a nutshell.
*************************************************************

A question for you all here. Have you ever wondered what happened to the Jews? For being God's chosen people they have been taking a lot of excrement for the last 2000 years. So after running across something a couple of years ago I think it's time for a full report. What happened to the Jews? And why 12-21-2012 might be a part of it.

And here is the problem in a nutshell. The Jews triggered a 2000 year top level Leviticus 26 curse. And the very last event of this curse is called the day of Jezreel. And the nearest I can figure this "day of Jezreel" starts between 2018 to 2028. Based on several Jewish and Christian prophesies.

And that would make 2012 an excellent year for a number of different end time events.

And the funny thing here is that this curse even turns out to have a name.
So here is the evidence on the "Curse of Malachi."

To start with the verses out of Malachi.
Chap 4.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

What's the problem here? These verses out of Matthew.
Chap. 17
9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.
10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

When John the Baptist/Elijah the Prophet was killed by Herod it triggered this curse of Malachi. His job as yet was unfinished.

Now to understand the curse you need to read and understand the Jewish compact of Leviticus 26. Then you need to read the book of Hosea. But for the Cliff notes version concentrate on the verses of Hosea 5-14 and 6-2. And read verse 6-2 in light of 2nd Peter 3-8. Or Psalms 90-4 for you Jews out there. The days mentioned there are thousand year periods of time.

The curse is 2000 years long. Followed by a 1000 year day of Jezreel.

And that is the Curse of Malachi.

To put it simply "God" thinks your crunchy and good with ketchup at present.

Forgive my ignorance...

How exactly is this important ?

What is actual significance of [There will be no more death] part, I fail to see it ?

Why are death, mourning and pain such terrible things ?

What if it turns out that you are god? Then what? What if it turns out that you purposely limited your perspective and knowledge just for the experience of your current life and the joys of regaining it? That all things are created by you and for you, simply for you to experience things and be like a child?

Who will you blame then?

Why create earth and humanity and put us all threw this suffering?

Why not just pass on creating anything to start with?
If there is some sort of evil power that exists, I would think it would be against having anyone else around at all, other than itself. The defeat or "punishment" of the evil one would be the multiplicity of souls who dwell in the universe. To complain about your "suffering" seems to me to be energy better spent in some other way. You could always off yourself and end it all and then you would not have to be concerned about whether God is doing a good job or not. The fact is that there are more souls alive right now than if you added up the number of people who ever lived and are not around any more. So that means some new souls have been added. If life was so horrible, why are there so many spirits, or whatever, who want to be born here?

god is a construct of early human perception of something bigger than what they saw. yet we are here today because people followed the paths of reality as fantasy, they today are starting to make sense.

Being with God has just as much pain. It's almost as if he wasn't there at all. How strange is that. A god who isn't any use.

I'll make a bet with you. You pray that God will strike me down when you read this. I will not pray to God to spare me. Then, after I read you response I'll respond. That's a fair test, isn't it?

In my world of reality God is just a name given to something. Something so easy or complicated that we can't grasp it.

Why dont we just call god for Time.

When we give Something a name we also give it a character a personality. Or something to give the blame like in this case by the OP.

The bugger is that God say in the Bible: Lets create Man in our image.

Its something really odd about the words "Lets" and "our" .

Further more we say that God is everything and everywhere and that he looks like us and that we look like God. Or them. God uses lets and our when explaining the creation of Man.

We sure dont look anything like this:

How can we blame this
for our stupidity. It has nothing to to with our doings.

Hi 5thElement,

What wrong have you done me? That you ask forgiveness? You confess ignorance, yet after reading my post, you, wisely, refered to the quoted verse in the Revelation and it raised more questions than answers?

In my post, I refered to what I believe to be the fairly universal concept of duality.

"Sentient mortals suffer as an expression of the duality of life as we know it. Many wish it were not so."

My understanding of the promises made in the Revelation is that, the fairly universal concept of or desire for, unity (in the personal rather than collective sense) indicates that at some point, the All, the universe, creation, humanity, whatever you will, shall have evolved to the point that Unity is possible.

In all honesty, I cannot answer your queries concerning the importance of a tract that promises an end to suffering nor what is wrong with pain and suffering. Only that this verse in the Bible helped me to understand something very personal to me.

Happy Easter!

Look at this, more of this BS??/?? these people lack understanding immensly.

Gawdzilla

He will strike you down, but he doesn't do that in this age because of the faithlessness of it and it's the age of forgiveness.

Now being with God does bring alot of suffering and pain but it's only on Earth to mold souls into saints.

But to the OP, meatloaf got it right.

God created mandkind and even though he knew about the suffering that would happen, the good far outwieghed it because of how many saints have been created through free will.

You people get up everyday, get on the net, I assume you love your life, you want more, unless you are a depressed rat who doesn't care about life, so then that desire to live and want to be here exist in many people, and many people are glad God created us even through the suffering which comes from free will.

doesn't anyone find god to act like a dam child with an Ant farm?
I'm starting to believe that the devil wanted to over throw god due to his crazy actions with lvivng creautres he made.

(OP)

No, God is not like a kid with an antfarm. How do you know all kids are harmful to their natfarms? So you're saying the God who created you and put justice in your heart since you wouldn't toy with people like God, is somewhat immature and heartless?

How can God have less heart and justice then a little piece of slime like you or me?

God gave you your little love and heart. All compassion is from Gods grace. All love.

God is love, and justice. Satan didn't rebel against God because of his plan, he rebelled because of his pride and is pure evil itself.

and this is what I mean by people with no understanding, like st Paul said.

" they blaspheme things they don't understand "

Instead of trying to understand and be sincere they blaspheme it.

So anyways, this thread pisses me off, because I have experienced Gods grace and know how loving he is, and it just makes me that more egar to witness the final day of justice.

have a great easter op....

peace.

And it pisses me off how there seems to be no humility left in the Christian world! Why oh why can't you just get over that some don't believe and that some will say nasty things about your god? Stop trying to push your will on others. My goddess, if he annoys you that much, ignore him, grow up, be a bigger man and move on. It's like a sport to 'be persecuted.'

Let it be...god supposedly taught grace and humility. Practice it. Slough things like this off as silliness and move on
