General Dynamics / Northrup Grumman F-14A Tomcat
Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet
Northrup Grumman EA-6B Intruder

Whichever is most capable of making me lose my lunch, that's the one I want to be strapped in to.

The winner then would be the F-14...

Here a sliver of information on it:
www.chinfo.navy.mil...

It's easy to find info on it though.

Yeah the one from Top Gun... Although mine would probably be FoxForce1 or something like that. FoxForce1 is my call sign for my job

That was an interesting find. I sure would like to fly a Mig. An F-16 would be better but i would take any of them. If only I had the money.

If it hasn't been posted about then it's not old news to ATS. Please people stop posting this kind of stuff.

Maybe we should start a topic on what aircraft you have flown on??

I would love to fly a Mig, but I have had to settle for American aircraft instead.

Well for 12k, yeah it might be fun, but for 30 mins, that is a different story.

Hell if I had the chance I would fly to the end of the exosphere with or without the G-suit...

Shattered OUT...

Okay, that makes more sense, but a submarine spitfire would be cool.

I've seen spitfires in world war 2 reels and films, thought it might be some new super spitfire.

Just a quick note, Zhukovsky airbase where they used to operate flights was closed long time ago. Now Aircraft building plant Sokol in Nizhny Novgorod is the only place in the whole world where you can fly MIG fighters at supersonic speeds. Have a look at www.skyandspacetravel.com they have various flight programmes on MIG-29 and MIG-31.

I would love to fly on a U2! When they take off they go almost straight up after take off! The engines sound like the space shuttle taking off. That would be cool! Except during landing(which is done at night) is done in total darkness with all the lights on the runway off and only 2 cars guiding the plane in. Cool.
