First off I was confused as to wether or not I should post this here, in the metaphysics forum or in the religion conspiracy my apologies if this is in the wrong forum.
Anyways I've been pondering upon this idea..I would consider myself a spritual person while not pertaining to any one religion and I find myself reading alot on this site which lead me to thinking
As a species are we cut from our true being or senses for a reason?
I see alot of NWO videos and Illuminati talk and have seen some of there cult video tapes that are around the web..alot of it seems satanic or atleast twisted but also mysterious...as if there is something else to it.
So being the spiritual person I am I wonder if there is a an attempt to cut people off from becoming spiritual such as the whole "new age" term that most people tend to look at and quickly dismiss and crazy or fake or whatever.
But I look at all the good techniques and healing powers, the idea of care for the body and connection to the earth and all we have around us, the idea of harmony and peace or atleast tolerance, the empowerent and detatchment of the ego..and even other areas such as mainfestation and intention.....even yoga and proper nutrition
are these techniques and ideas downplayed by TPTB or deemed crazy as indeed most of our conspiracies are by mainstream standards

Perhaps im getting to into and even if you dont agree with me on spirituality in my opinion its not to hard to believe that they would try to cut us off from discovering our potential or learning all that there is out there.
Perhaps maybe the philosphies involved with this just arent popular enough and thats why it gets no attention.
I was just curious as to what anyone else thought

I think the answer to your question is a resounding Yes.

We chose the path of knowledge.

Ive cut this very short but we are on a path of knowledge and I think you can relate to that.

Ever tried taking all the conspiracies, putting them together and asking who this is all against?

From what I read, and the people I talk to, I feel there are two trains of thought. The first is that we, as a people, have gone through the extreme end of mysticism and superstition to the extremism of science and rational logical explanation for everything in the universe to current day. The second is that we are being controlled by forces outside our physical awareness. You have a blend of both philosophies happening at the same time. There is a blend of religion and spiritual belief systems, right alongside science and logical thinking.

Whether we are being governed by both conspiracies aganist the masses, or a guiding supernatural god-like power - or again, perhaps both at the same time - is anyone's opinion or guess.

I have seen people become spiritual, and others fall away from it. I agree the guiding principles and core beliefs of an alturistic nature and the uptopic concepts of mother nature and being kind to your fellow man (a few examples) are all good markers to govern ourselves.

So as for being deliberately cut-off from this path of life, I'm not sure I could agree truly. I haven't had any experience that seems aimed at preventing people from following their spiritual paths. Not to say that there aren't such conspiracies out there.

However if you are referring to the amount of attention the mainstream media sources seem to pay, or credit, with alternative lifestyles, etc? Then I would suggest that is because mainstream media is alot more biased in it's reporting and what it shows, then the average person appears to be aware of. Comercialism, and profit margins are the new gods of this milennia.

No. We need no one to do this, since we do it by ourselves. The words you seek are greed, hope, fear, illusion, confusion, laziness and negativity. All the things are worshipped by most of our cultures, so there are only very few exits

I really don't know if "we" referring to human kind as a whole can obtain the enlightment that I believe you are reffering to, but I do believe that as singular entities each person can obtain a form of enlightment through deep meditation. Even meditation on the most insignificant of life will lead you to realize that no thing is insignificant. I think that people can obtain a more divine understanding of things once they cut their minds off to all that is this percieved reality we abide in, and focus on things that can only be grasped by the unconscious mind. Once you subtract all the chaos that is this world and establish firm control of your mind you can open an understanding of yourself and life that is unreachable with the cloud of confusion that is placed around you.

I'm rambling now but, eh, whatever just my thoughts take it or leave it.
