Would love to, bro, though I live in eastern washington, quite a drive from Seattle.

What's the occasion that brings you out west?

Only a little off topic...

Texas seems to be kickin' some serious butt today. That team gets any pitching at all, look out.

If our recent trip was any indication I highly recommend it.

Btw, JJ Putz is coming in to pitch, what should I expect here?

Fast ball (upper 80's mid 90's tops), and a nasty, nasty splitter. He's a dominant closer, and the mets have him pitching setup...that should tell you something. He's tough as nails, too...won't get rattled easily.

That was good.

Man what I wouldn't give for this team not to give me a heart attack every night.

If K Rod is K Rod Mets fans might look back at the Billy Wagner injury as a fortuitous thing.

Anyway, look at us talking all baseball ... and stuff.

to opening day!

And the Captain starts off the Yankee's season with a base hit.

You're going to like sean green, too. He's an innings eater...very useful on those nights when the starter hasn't got it. The Mariners were foolish to let that kid go, IMHO. Putz was not going to stay once his contract was up, Green is going to be a good one, barring the unforeseen.

Sounds good.

So we're in agreement then, we're ignoring all Yankee fans.

Excuse me ... I said the Y word ...

It's safer that way...lol. I seldom, if ever, have anything positive to say about the Yankee's.

Though, in truth, I've always liked Jeter. Seriously, don't you wish you had dated the chicks he's been spotted with? Not to mention the guy can, or could at one time, play some serious ball.

Well, I won't be making any more posts in a minute. My computer will be out the window. Two wild pitches and walk by CC so far.

Jeter is a class act ... excuse me again ...

Right that's it.

Mets Win!

I'll be pulling for your Mariners tonight seagull.

God knows they need all the help they can get...

But I think they're going to be a bit better than people think. 70 to 75 wins aren't out of the question. Good young talent, and they've got some trade bait for later in the season for prospects...and no, that doesn't include Ichiro.

Can't trade Ichiro, the good thing is, I don't think he wants to get traded.

The natives will revolt if trade talk is even mentioned. Heck, half the fans show up at the stadium just for him.

Is that the Jays?

I was on board with you backing them last year, but no worries, I'll give them some love this year too.

Right, so it's looking like a Mariners vs. Blue Jays ALCS.

Lose!

Perfect opening day.

Hey trep, what the heck happened at the game?

I heard in passing that the Tigers were pulled off the field or something.

Maybe they thought it was hockey.

Well a week into the season, and the Mariners (gasp) are in first place in the AL West...oh, my god...

...and it's not luck either, it's some damned good baseball on all fronts. Now whether it'll continue or not is, of course, another question entirely...

I'm gonna enjoy it while it lasts, though.
