So here's my story...
Last May (the 10th) I decided to try to audition for this low budget ghost-hunting show. That's mistake #1. So, since I knew the producer, I
decided to give it a go and meet up with her and a local psychic at a grave site in Alton, IL. Mistake #2. Now this is a Confederate grave site so you
won't find Grandma and Aunt Bertha here. These were all men who died miserable, terrible deaths...thus mistake #2! Anyway, we did the typical white
noise, EVP, night-vision thingy, had a pretty normal night, got a few voices and called it a night. Presto, blamo! We didn't provoke or do anything
out of the normal ghost-hunting fare. I hop in the car and head home.
I get to bed about 4am, nothing happens. That night, I lay back down and sure enough, my bed starts to shake. I get up, turn the light on and lay
back down. The bed starts shaking again. Great! So now every horror movie I've ever seen starts to go through my mind. I'm just laying there and I
can feel this weird tingling sensation through my back. It feels like it's swirling - I know that's weird - but that's the best way to describe it.
Anyway, as my fear builds, this swirling feeling continues up my back and goes straight out of the top of my head. Oddly enough, it felt quite
pleasant but the element of fear was messing me up big time. I felt very light headed, I hopped out of bed and went to make coffee. Lol! I'm serious.
I turned all the lights on, made coffee and sat in front of the TV until daylight. I was a freakin' mess!
Over the next couple of weeks I pretty much just freaked out. I didn't know who to talk to, confide in, whatever. It was overwhelming. I laid down
on the bed a couple days later and actually became nauseous. Back to the couch I went. Turns out it wasn't the bed that was shaking...I was shaking.
I could lay on the couch, the floor. Everywhere I lay I was shaking. And now, I feel vibrations going through my body, just random vibrations that
seem start when when I'm relaxed. These were almost like electrical vibration in a sense. You kind of feel like you're laying on an electrical
current I guess.
So I head to the doctor. Mistake #3. They run a few blood tests (I'm fine) but they don't really want anything to do with this. Try telling a
doctor you vibrate, it doesn't go over well.
Finally. I've given up on traditional science so I go see a local psychic. She tells me an "angry older spirit" tried to enter through my back
and , in effect, goofed up my chakras (I didn't know what chakras were). She said he was gone now and apparently "wasn't attached", but he did a
little damage. The damage is, I still vibrate, and of course there's the wonderful side affects of that. As I vibrate, it more or less opens up your
'Third Eye' so you have to constantly adjust and try to sleep through the vibrations. I also hear popping and static, and occasionally, I'll hear
someone call me name. These are all keys to a wonderful nights sleep.
The moral of this story is...don't ghost-hunt because you think it's cool or you think you're good at it. Be smart and leave the dead alone. And
definitely don't ghost-hunt at a Confederate grave site!
As for the psychic - I won't endorse the practice, but she seemed to know every detail of what happened to me and it seemed to make sense. Take
from that what you will.
If anyone has a similar experience I would sure love hear about it. Thanks for reading my story.
