So here's my story...

Last May (the 10th) I decided to try to audition for this low budget ghost-hunting show. That's mistake #1. So, since I knew the producer, I decided to give it a go and meet up with her and a local psychic at a grave site in Alton, IL. Mistake #2. Now this is a Confederate grave site so you won't find Grandma and Aunt Bertha here. These were all men who died miserable, terrible deaths...thus mistake #2! Anyway, we did the typical white noise, EVP, night-vision thingy, had a pretty normal night, got a few voices and called it a night. Presto, blamo! We didn't provoke or do anything out of the normal ghost-hunting fare. I hop in the car and head home.

I get to bed about 4am, nothing happens. That night, I lay back down and sure enough, my bed starts to shake. I get up, turn the light on and lay back down. The bed starts shaking again. Great! So now every horror movie I've ever seen starts to go through my mind. I'm just laying there and I can feel this weird tingling sensation through my back. It feels like it's swirling - I know that's weird - but that's the best way to describe it. Anyway, as my fear builds, this swirling feeling continues up my back and goes straight out of the top of my head. Oddly enough, it felt quite pleasant but the element of fear was messing me up big time. I felt very light headed, I hopped out of bed and went to make coffee. Lol! I'm serious. I turned all the lights on, made coffee and sat in front of the TV until daylight. I was a freakin' mess!

Over the next couple of weeks I pretty much just freaked out. I didn't know who to talk to, confide in, whatever. It was overwhelming. I laid down on the bed a couple days later and actually became nauseous. Back to the couch I went. Turns out it wasn't the bed that was shaking...I was shaking. I could lay on the couch, the floor. Everywhere I lay I was shaking. And now, I feel vibrations going through my body, just random vibrations that seem start when when I'm relaxed. These were almost like electrical vibration in a sense. You kind of feel like you're laying on an electrical current I guess.

So I head to the doctor. Mistake #3. They run a few blood tests (I'm fine) but they don't really want anything to do with this. Try telling a doctor you vibrate, it doesn't go over well.

Finally. I've given up on traditional science so I go see a local psychic. She tells me an "angry older spirit" tried to enter through my back and , in effect, goofed up my chakras (I didn't know what chakras were). She said he was gone now and apparently "wasn't attached", but he did a little damage. The damage is, I still vibrate, and of course there's the wonderful side affects of that. As I vibrate, it more or less opens up your 'Third Eye' so you have to constantly adjust and try to sleep through the vibrations. I also hear popping and static, and occasionally, I'll hear someone call me name. These are all keys to a wonderful nights sleep.

The moral of this story is...don't ghost-hunt because you think it's cool or you think you're good at it. Be smart and leave the dead alone. And definitely don't ghost-hunt at a Confederate grave site!

As for the psychic - I won't endorse the practice, but she seemed to know every detail of what happened to me and it seemed to make sense. Take from that what you will.

If anyone has a similar experience I would sure love hear about it. Thanks for reading my story.

wow, that was an interesting story. I wonder if this could be useful for astral projection? There are some good threads on astral projection, one by the river godess, if you are interested... does the vibration go through your whole body, legs arms, toso, head? or is it more concentrated? Does it do if if you try sleeping whilst sitting up? Did the psychic give any suggestions on how to repair the damage done by ghost? thx, Ink

Hi there - interesting story, thanks for sharing, sorry about the bad experiences though. I thought I'd contribute not from the ghostly sense but in relation to the vibrations.

Over the passed few months I kept getting a buzzing sensation in the tops of my legs as if my phone was vibrating in my pocket on silent mode, very annoying when you have to keep patting your trousers to see if it is your phone or not. Anyway out of curiosity I did a search on the phenomenon on google and seems to be a lot more common than you might imagine with people describing the symptoms in the same way. Those who braved their doctors like yourself were all told they were fine, there was no obvious connection with stress or high blood pressure, although a few people did remark that Vitamin B supplements seemed to help.

I tried this approach and took Vitamin B tablets daily for a weeks and I started to become less and less aware of the vibrations. I stopped taking the Vitamin B for a while and I've noticed the vibrations have returned, this time in my right ankle?? Your guess is as good as mine as to why?

Anyway to cut a long story short - there may be a less offworldy reason for your bad vibes, could be worth a wee google?

All the best to you

Berth

Actually, and this is part of it, apparently I've projected twice! I don't remember it though. I think I'm doing it accidentally. Probably not safe, haha!

The vibrations start anywhere. Sometimes my head, feet, chest and sometimes just my hands. Sometime it's very intense and sometimes it's mild.

Yes, I shake a little when I'm sitting up. Not the intense vibrations, but a low, slow vibration.

Yes. The psychic said she could do a "chakra cleansing". But of course she's running a business too.

Thank you for the kind response. I'm actually a vitamin freak-a-zoid. I take them every day...have been for years. I would LOVE for my problem to be a lack of vitamins. That way I could explain it. Unfortunately, the symptoms associated with the vibrations and a couple of paranormal occurrences tell me otherwise.

Well be glad, whatever or whoever this thing was, decided not to stay attached to you or you would be in a world of trouble. It's not uncommon for things like this to follow you home, when provoked. If your going to do amateur ghost hunting, don't be surprise if things occurs like this start to happen more often. Still I can't help to think maybe you were just spooking yourself out, usually ghost encounters have all but one thing in common. The feeling of a presence, maybe someone watching you but one is there. Noises when no one is around, such as voices, footsteps, knocking etc. Not to say the psychic wasnt right or wrong, but maybe after that first encounter, everything else made you on edge, and just sort of spooked you out.

Fear is actually the toughest thing to deal with. Once you get past the fear you can start looking at things in a new perspective. I think this entity was more or less 'teaching me a lesson', and that goal was definitely achieved! And yes, it was very difficult while he was attached. To be clear, he seemed to be more pissed (or hurt) than anything. I don't know how to explain that, but the sense of evil was not present. Once I apologized, that was it. He released me and moved on. Regardless, I learned my lesson and I have a new found respect for ghost-hunting and sacred confederate grave sites.

You do get spooked out, but there's much more to how your chakras function and what can affect them.

And I wasn't doing amateur ghost-hunting. I was hunting with Dr. Gary Hawkins, who's been in this field for the last 18 years. I didn't properly protect myself.
