Thanks for the vids. You're not joking, excellent video. If Military and Law Agencies could use that form of camouflage, they'd exploit it to death. Illegal wiretaps are common, imagine what they would be like with the ability to blend in to your immediate vicinity?

The mimic octopus is interesting too. Makes me wonder how much is instinctive and what, if any, is observed and learned? If one or more were placed in an environment that featured unfamiliar predators, would they then be able to mimic them?

I'm guessing that plaice is low down in the top right quarter? Could be anywhere or any number of them
