The move began with Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn, who took his oath of office with a hand on the Quran, to solicit the resume of what he considered to be the nation's most qualified adherents of Islam.
The term is now used more broadly to describe someone who is perceived to be manipulated by a political movement, terrorist group, or hostile government, whether or not the group is Communist in nature.

Maybe someone could clarify this for me?
Being that there is absolutely nothing wrong with being Muslim; are you upset because it is President Obama is looking through a list of recent Ivy League grads and Fortune 500 members who happen to be Muslim? Is this a "Obama is a secret Muslim" thing?
Or do you just have a problem with Muslims in governmental posts overall?
Hoping for an era of warm relations with the White House, more than 300 Muslim-Americans have submitted resumes for government jobs, the Los Angeles Times reports. Vetted by community leaders, the list includes Ivy League graduates, civil servants, and Fortune 500 execs. It was created "under the radar," one advocate said, out of fear it would put Obama "in a precarious position."
"Muslims are not looking for handouts," said one activist—but they are seeking to reverse Bush-era trends, such as FBI infiltration of mosques, which sent a chill through the Muslim-American community. Muslim advocates say they are hopeful, despite President Obama's silence during Israel's recent raid on Gaza. "These things take time," said a White House aide, who received the resumes. "And they're all based on finding the right fit."
CHICAGO — In a bid to get more Muslim Americans working in the Obama administration, a book with resumes of 45 of the nation's most qualified — Ivy League grads, Fortune 500 executives and public servants, all carefully vetted — has been submitted to the White House. The effort, driven by community leaders and others, including U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., was bumped up two weeks because White House officials heard about the venture, said J. Saleh Williams, program coordinator for the Congressional Muslim Staffers Association, who sifted through more than 300 names. "It was mostly under the radar," Williams said. "We thought it would put (the president) in a precarious position. We didn't know how closely he wanted to appear to be working with the Muslim American community."

But that is not the point. It really offends me to insinuate you cannot be patriotic and a follower of Islam. If you truly believe in the separation of church and state (as per our Constitution)...this should not be a problem.
