I am speechless on the survival plans being made on this forum. Considering the number of people seriously making up plans, creating survival networks and what not. Obviously something is being expected and soon. So what are you expecting and when?

I am expecting just a economic crisis, that turns to marshal law.
When, in the next 6 months to 3 years.
I don't have anything to back this up

Is this a prediction thread?

I am expecting something like the riots in GTA San Andreas, if you have played such a video games. Major cities on fire, hookers with guns running rampant...stuff like that.

www.youtube.com...

I expect it next week, or this week. The G20 and N Korea nukey thingy.

Only the sheeple are not making plans and taking steps to impliment them. So many cultural groups are now going tribal and relocating / preparing its becoming a full time job advising the newest ones what steps to take.

I can not say what I am expecting however I have learned to respect my gut feelings and my gut is telling me that something is coming. I have been hungry, I have been out of work and seen friends killed. Just because things are good for me now I know that that can change in a day, a hour, a minute or in seconds. To not have a plan "B" for your life and the lives of your loved ones is being a domestic animal trusting to your master for your fate. That is why I plan ahead and am ready if it comes this afternoon.

It isn't so much exactly what one can expect, and certainly not when they expect it, but that at lest the most basic preparations be made so that regardless the catastrophe, either manmade or natural, one is better prepared to survive according to their abilities, than one who enjoys the short-term comforts of ignorance and mistaken assumptions.

The one thing that never changes, is that everything changes. Political and geological stability, terrestrial or astral stability, macro or microrganism mutations, on and on.

Modern society is a very recent, very fragile shell. Only a minor change-up, and there is none of the current protective organizations. One catastrophe, and it can quickly become every man for himself.

After all, even policemen, firefighters, and the military have their own families and own loved ones that will suddenly come first.

To assume that whatever your current state of security and comfort will continue is to make a mistaken assumption.

When one expects and plans for the worst, then one is better prepared to survive. When one expects sudden catastrophe, then one is never surprised.

Anticipation. Preparation. Planning. Execution.

That's the most prudent approach.

Any less is putting the welfare of you and yours to chance.

At the risk of sounding unhelpful I am expecting the unexpected when I least expect it.

Now I have the obtuseness out the way allow me to elaborate. The angle that I'm coming at this from is one of survival. Yes, to me that means living as long as possible and the corollary is being prepared to cope with any untoward activities that try to reduce the odds of me living.

It's a way of trying to make the odds work in your favour. You don't want to get run over so you look both ways before crossing a road. Now, suppose you go out tomorrow and the sun is very low, bright, and affecting your ability to see. If you were prepared you would have your sunglasses with you and now you can still see to cross the street in relative safety.

All we're doing here is ramping up those uncertainties and precautions on a larger scale. We are not prophets or nor do we predict future events. There are things that have a probability of happening and,

"We don't want to be at home to Mr. Cock-up."

Im just gunna come right out with it.

absolutly nothing !!!

Now The reason why I say that is for a number of reason, Fear is your problem. I am not a sheeple but I am aware of how lazy humans are and the vast majortiy do not care "if anything was coming our way" unless they put it on the news ect "immenent desaster or something" then all hell would break loose neways lol.

you know abit like war of the worlds ect, real survial mode only kicks in when TSHTF and this econmic crisis aint that major imo "yes people are being shafted by the banks and corps, but then little kids starv everyday and die, dont see many people shouting about that?..

its called selfishness and its built into us we can help it.

Take my advice and look in the mirror, thats why the world is the way it is and always will be untill that person in the mirror changes.

I have nothing to run away from, more so when there is no place to hide. we live on a rock going round a sun.

Have fun !

Been there and was unprepared when I left the house...not even freshly ironed Y-fronts. And on that occaision the adage came true and I woke up in the road surrounded by strangers after being run over

G20, North Korea, bad economy, and a government that's trying to turn us into a socialist society. Hmm i cant see a reason to be prepared

And we don't know when it's going to happen so we prepare then wait

What you gonna do when the lights go out out, what you gonna do when the ATMs don't work?

These are questions some would say are fear mongering. They're actually from a rap song (enlightened folk some of these rappers)

The funny thing is the lights have gone out (but come back on again) AND the UK came very close (some say within hours) to the ATMs being shut down!

So expect for the worse, hope the best.
This is my way of saying, live your life but have the bloody parachute in its proper place along with the dudes who know the score.

Expecting? I can't say for sure that I expect anything. I'm pretty sure the US is going to see a depression worse than imagined. I don't know about the civil war talk, alien invasion, WW3, or a zombacalypse but I do have the feeling something is about to happen. I am an old boy scout, I like to be prepared. I know it is impossable to prepare for everything, but I do what I can.

What do I expect? An apocalyptic catastrophe that will ultimately be the end of civilized mankind. To be more technical, taken from here, any number of Class 5 events of any nature.

When do I expect it? The next waking moment.

Sol

Expecting and preparing for the worst, Hoping for the best; if events turn out to be between those two extremes than the mindset has done its purpose and kept my fat out of the fire for the most part. Not sure what kind of discussion you may or may not be fishing for, it just makes sense to prepare for the absolute worst that way if/when it does happen you aren't caught with your pants around your ankles.

I want to be prepared for any event that might cause:

1) rioting and panic.

2) shortages of food and water.

3) shortages of medical supplies

4) the release of radioiodines in to the atmosphere

5) shortages of cooking and heating fuels.

The events that might lead to the above include all natural castrophies, terrorists with dirty bombs, nuclear accidents, and civil unrest (think Rodney King).

I wasn't expecting 9/11, and woke up that morning to a different country.

Truly, I believe it's happening now, bit by bit...slowly.. and the only thing I can do is prepare the best way I can.

And you know, I couldn't get my husband on board with being prepared. He really didn't believe much would happen.

What opened his eyes up was showing him the truth that Obama is the new boss, same as the old boss.

I'm taking notice with these tea parties.

I see and hear people talking revolution.

I saw a truck today with a bumper sticker that read "revolution".

I'm feeling this sense of people waking up slowly around me....seeing that we don't really have CHANGE. We don't really have our country back. It's a facade that got Obama elected.

I can't name a specific event or day when sit x is going to just blow up. I think we ARE in sit x now... and we are evolving toward a gradual worsening over time.
