So... this is me and my dog, Dixie. No more pics of my kids on here!
I dug this one up from last yr.. and maybe I will stand still long enough
to get a pic this summer... but you all have to see my hairless dogs now that they are full grown! They are THE most hideous creatures on the planet..
but the personality ( and primitive behaviors) are truly an experience
Dixie and I have been together ( friends, not lovers) for about 10 yrs I guess. She is getting the typical old dog stuff.. and given her breed its
amazing she has made it this long so healthy. I attribute it to feeding her Blue Bison dog food and raw diet, lotsa glucosamine, and of course, her
using my memory foam bed as her dog bed...
Ive always had a thing for dogs ( always hated cats) but seriously, this dog has crawled right into my
heart. She isnt what Id call loving.. I have the 2 naked idiot dogs for that... she is REGAL. The fact that she speaks English also helps with the
relationship.
Seriously though, at her age and how she just kind of goes at her own slow pace, I was in the garden we just put in the back (
this makes 5 raised gardens now... ) and a rabbit came in the yard. The rabbits here fear no human and when I yelled at it.. it wants my plants... it
didnt move. Dixie looked at me and I said " well go ahead... get it" and the old girl caught the full grown rabbit in mid run across the back yard.
Ive never seen a huge dog like her have that much explosive power and speed. We're overrun with rabbits here since they have no natural predators...
so her snack wasnt cruel.. it was her lunch break.
**sigh** I need to rob a bank for another 2K to get another one of these dogs.. she needs to train me a puppy so I can keep her alive ( at least in
skills ) when she goes..
anyway, she is an American Bulldog.. NOT a pitbull on steroids, its a specific breed, and the Old Southern White type. I got her specifically for her
attributes according to her pedigree.. she comes from the best of the best. And she has been literally, the best of the best.
Please notice we were both witches for Halloween.. they didnt have big dog witch hats.. just that teeny one on her head
As for the house in the
background, all of that has since been restored and has the hardwood hemlock flooring and etc.. some moron put in PINK carpet in the 80's... it had
to go...
