I was walking home from the local shopping center and i take the rout via the graveyard due to the peaceful environment there.

As i was walking by the mausoleum i noticed this very old obelisk the writing on the bottom off the obelisk had faded and is illegible.
I looked to the top of the obelisk and noticed masonic symbolism.

I plan to look around the circumference of the grave yard look at the way its built and look for any more obelisks in places along the graveyard and see the reason for their being there.

Does your local grave yards have masonic obelisks? if so could you report how many and where they are located.

I see the obelisks in many graveyards. In fact, a graveyard by my office has not just obelisks, but a large section dedicated solely for Masonic plots with a HUGE granite square and compass designating it as such.

There have been a couple of threads on ATS about Masonic symbols in graveyards; you can use the search box to the top right to find them.

Beyond that, search Google Images for 'Masonic Graveyard' and/or 'Masonic Cemetery'.

Well, I'll tell ya. Dispite all the rumors, masons die too.

Like dead Mason, Robert Hook, crypted in East Fox Lake Cemetery, Round Lake Beach, IL.

I took these pretty close to where I live. So the Masonic spires you see are not uncommon. There were quite a few at this specific cemetery.

Masonic gravestones are everywhere. I bet you can find bundles down at your local cemetery.
