Hello all, this is my first post here. Been lurking on these boards for a while now and thought it was time for me to join and post.

Please let me know if I am doing anything not allowed on the boards.

Here is the picture I am speaking of:

Hi Bluko....welcome to ATS.

Cool pic.

Couple of tips to help your post......if you can add any info regarding your picture, that would be a big help. There lots of seasoned members here who can do wonders when it comes to identifying an image, but it aids them if you include as much info as possible.

Things like...

What do you think it is?
Where was it taken?
Is it in the sky, or on the ground?
What camera did you have?
What was the environment like?
Was there any extra lighting nearby?
If you think it's a UFO, was there sound?
Any other details as far as where this was taken...you may find other people saw it too.

Things like that will all go towards a great post here. Best thing is, you got a picture up which is often something a thread lacks, so well done for that.

Also, don't be dismayed if anyone says, "It just looks like a so and so", people here are looking for that once in a lifetime perfect pic, but unfortunately people are often shaking too much to get a good one lol.

Thanks for posting anyway, and once again, welcome to ATS.

Sorry, i should have added....i mention about adding as much detail as possible, becuase otherwise this could be seen as anything.

I know i've photographed fire poi before, and they could have been mistaken for something cool like this.

There are so many great images and light effects that can be caught accidentaly, and many that can be made intentionaly.

So as much info as possible will help us all out. Did anyone else see this?

Cheers.

I didn't take the pic. I found it on a popular strange things website I have seen mentioned before on this board. I take no credit for the pic, I just found it was lazily surfing the net. I didn't see it posted on here so I though I would post it.

Its the pic of the day at www.coasttocoastam.com...

That looks like an image from the Stevenville, Texas video. There was a UFO Hunters episode about it and it looks like it's from the video they analyzed.

Excellent, thanks for the info, now we can get more detail on what is alleged to be two craft with some kind of laser of light source linking them.

The photo was taken in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu in the town of Haleiwa. The date was sometime in January 1997…I am a long time professional photographer…who has been in the business for over 40 years. One evening, after watching a movie with a friend, and they were leaving my home, they pointed out some strange lights in the sky. It was late about 1 am. I decided, what the heck, never shot a UFO photo, and got out my big surfing lens (a Nikon 800mm f/5.6 and added a 2x tele-extender and used a very heavy duty tripod) and took about 10-20 photos. The film was Fuji Velvia 35mm transparency, exposure was about f/8-f/11 for about 15 seconds.

Full article here: Laser exchange between UFO's

Great sighting, i haven't read the whole thing yet, but thats the sort of detail that goes towards an excellent UFO thread.

Thanks again for posting it. Very interesting.

Again a pic, of really anything. Gone trough photoshop and so on... Where is the original? Has anyone ever seen an original straight from the cam ufo picture? Ever?

I agree with you. There really is no substance to the pic. I do though question the intentions of someone who would post a picture like this anonymously.

It looks like a photoshopped frame from a Hollywood movie, mix between a Machine from Terminator mixed with a Pod Racer from Star Wars.

I just thought it was a "different" looking "UFO" pic than the norm. Real or not.

Yeah it is different. It's actually quite beatiful, I'd love to know what it is. I'll hold my reservations wheter it's a flying ufo or something else untill I get to see the original

Its just a cloud of swamp gas refracting the light off of the mother ship, debunked.

I did a google search on the name Bill Romerhaus and quickly found numerous sites selling his photos. He seems to be quite ligit.

I really dont think he is making this up, why - he did not call the news stations , he called art bell in 1997. Art does not allow last names from callers, so nothing gained.

The pic is really quite interesting, it looks like it is alive. like 2 jelly fish in the sky shooting lasers.

I've never seen an original JPEG of a UFO that doesn't have a plausible prosaic explanation (airplane, bird, bug, contrail, cloud, planet...) , and can't be hoaxed easily with a model (because there's something in the picture to give the size, like a shadow, reflection or it gets partly behind something like a tree or building).

In this case there is no reason to assume it is a UFO. It could be on the ground. There is nothing in the picture to give any idea about scale or direction. It looks like a light bulb with a few moths flying around it, with a long exposure and large motion blur.

I don't have my monitor working that well so the
image came out with a bright line and various outer
fringe colors father out.

No defined shape.
Blobs of light seem to be the norm for UFOs.

There are theories that say UFOs are high voltage propulsion
flying craft but not too many that say it.
Like one never points to Tesla or a can Illuminati secrets would
be unveiled.

Prosaic....must be the new debunker household word this month.

Plausible...possible...all the nice little ducks in a row circumstances to easily explain away something you have no idea what the heck it is.

Why not just say "I have no idea what that is, amazing"....instead of filling the air with alot of hot air prosaic stink??

Cheers!!!!

WOW! That is a trip!! It looks three dimensional and like there is a flourescent tube between two levels. See the bottom looks like a shelf. This is crazy!

Yeah. I made that out: flourescent tube.
But never saw any UFO with something like that.
I saw Star Wars recently and a bright line come on
the ship piloted by Harrison Ford.

So big possibility its a fake.
Circles or balls of light might be from the real UFOs as
they seem more frequent.

And early film with Ford had him mimicking free energy
researcher Lyne. Under the assumption that free energy
devices are being used at secret facilities, sooner or later
they sip up and dis guard something important.
Anything from 70 years to present hardware can be
found in nearby salvage yards.
