I know this is an old topic, but Farsight just released a project on this. They wanted to determine if the interview actually took place, among other things. The results were that it did in fact take place. The project resulted in finding out a lot more information, too.

I am not sympathetic to David Ike, despite being quite impressed with his research in his books.
