abcnews.go.com...
I know that a thread was posted here about this before, but it hardly offered much information on it and I thought that maybe I could reopen it for
discussion.
Several months ago, a strange illness struck several people at my school in southwestern Virginia, the symptoms of which involved twitching
uncontrollably, dizziness and headaches. Some people we all knew were faking, but there were others that were genuinely sick. I know a girl that
twitched up until just a couple of months ago, and not one doctor that she went to could tell her what was going on, even though she was all over the
place talking to all different kinds of doctors. There were people complaining of weakness and dizziness, myself included.
There were rumors that it was carbon dioxide coming from the photography classroom, specifically the dark room. I watched people test for that and a
whole bunch of other things around the photography room, including mold and lead paint. They tested the water, too, and after that I never saw
anybody else come in to test anything. Nobody said much about it after that, suddenly everybody stopped twitching except the girl I mentioned earlier
in my post. Now nobody talks about it. Apparently, the state claimed that it was due to stress and then anxiety at catching the twitching disease,
but I dont really believe that.
So I was just wondering if I could get some thoughts on what could have been causing it..
Edit: Neglected to add previously: Not only did the school board refuse to close the school, they also sent some letter home about how they didnt
want to list the symptoms to 'protect the students'
