Hi ufoorbhunter & all that are genuine and interested.
I first "remember" seeing a UFO and it was close up, 30 years ago. I was driving thru the suburbs taking my niece home to stay with me for the
weekend. I now can't remember whether it was a Friday or Saturday night. It was summer and about 8 p.m I didn't realise it at the time but at
that time there should have been tonnes of traffic but I don't think I saw one car. Not far from my parent's we saw a strange object above a pub
(hotel) of all things and I at first thought it must be a helicopter and slowed right down then pulled over. It was an UFO and hovering, actually it
looked totally stationary at first, over the pub. Maybe checking out the drunks.
It appeared to be oval in shape with lights all along the top or close to it. There also appeared to be windows all around it up high. It is so
long ago that I don't remember as clearly as I wished I could and also I was the driver. The road was 3 lanes each side of a lawned area so we
were about 9 lanes from it. As I started to turn my car so I could get closer it slowly moved off. But it didn't go high instead it went down to
street level and I tried to follow the best I could. My niece was giving me directions but she was only about 11 at the time. Still I managed to
follow it and we spotted it every now and again as it moved a few feet above the streets or bitumen. From this you should realise that it was not
a big craft but obviously not much bigger than 2 cars long and wide.
I believed from memory that I lost it several streets away near near a cemetary but my niece has a different memory. I thought after we lost it
after looking for it for a short time I drove home. But when we got to my place my niece and I never spoke of it again, nor did we phone anyone to
tell them about it. My husband was working up north at the time and I think he phoned me a few days later and I told him about it then but he is the
only person I told for many, many years. My sister was in UFO club at the time although she has never seen one and I never even told her about it.
She gave me UFO books to read but I never read them. I couldn't read or listen to anything about ufos. I am a great reader but wouldn't read or
talk about ufos or aliens. Just couldn't.
My niece and I got together about 6 years ago after a funeral and we finally spoke about it again as by then we had both experienced some weird
things. At this time we realised we had different memories of exactly what happened and how we felt about it all. It scares her too much for her
to talk about it much or to talk about other experiences she has had since.
I do believe that many members of my immediate family have had similar experiences. Not chasing ufos but are abductees.
This first memory is when I lived in the city. Now I live out in the bush (countryside) and have seen so much more and experienced more.
Will try to answer your other questions a little later tonight.
