But stating as such, unless the parents waive their rights and grant emancipation to their children (which can cause a whole slew of problems in itself), said children have no rights until they reach 18 years of age (which is a maturity issue to understand the rights you have been given). I can see where you're coming from, but we live in America, we have to play by her rules.
Voluntary Mental Health Treatment of Children 14 Years of Age and Older Voluntary examination and treatment may be authorized by any person 14 years old or older who feels he or she is in need of treatment and understands the nature of voluntary treatment. For parents, this means that if your child is willing to seek treatment in an inpatient facility, you need not go through any legal procedures. Before your child is accepted for treatment, he or she must be given a full explanation of the types of treatment that may be provided and the possible restraints or restrictions which may be imposed. He or she also must be given a consent form to sign. By signing the form, your child agrees to placement at a specified facility for a specific period of time. Voluntary inpatients may withdraw their consent to treatment at any time by giving written notice and must in all cases be released within 72 hours of such notice. If the hospital believes your child needs more treatment and your child is unwilling, it must apply to a court for permission to detain him or her involuntarily.

Here is the nitty gritty.

Read the bill. Find me the line or section everyone is complaining about.
It's not there. It was removed. It was moved to another bill.
Are there other "horrors" in 1388 I'm missing?
5) The effect on the Nation, on those who serve, and on the families of those who serve, if all individuals in the United States were expected to perform national service or were required to perform a certain amount of national service.
(6) Whether a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people could be developed, and how such a requirement could be implemented in a manner that would strengthen the social fabric of the Nation and overcome civic challenges by bringing together people from diverse economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds.
(7) The need for a public service academy, a 4-year institution that offers a federally funded undergraduate education with a focus on training future public sector leaders.
(8) The means to develop awareness of national service and volunteer opportunities at a young age by creating, expanding, and promoting service options for primary and secondary school students and by raising awareness of existing incentives.
This bill will be slipped in through the back door just like 1388 was. Just wait for the next big distraction in the MSM.

I have read this bill inside out. I and others have cited this bill in multiple threads. It contains language far beyond the simple word mandatory that concerns me. Perhaps you haven't read it or you simply read it while wearing your Obama issued Rose Colored Glasses.
I hope you look good in the color Brown.
You are referring to H.R. 1444. This bill will be slipped in through the back door just like 1388 was. Just wait for the next big distraction in the MSM. Perhaps the N. Korea missile crisis should suffice. 2 of Our battleships are already on the way.

"Upon looking through this bill, it is veryy disturbing to see the words "required" and "madatory voluneer" in section VI 6104. Why would that language be in any kind of legislation present, future or possible that supposedly is completely voluntary?
It sounds like the "mandatory volunteer Service" Obama and Rham talked about in interviews but then scrubbed their site of the language when people became upset.
It appears it was slipped in here under everyone's nose. No doubt to be overlooked until this legislation passes and they can make it required instead of voluntary."
Now I must ask all of you:
ARE YOU A SHEPHERD OR ARE YOU SHEEP?

What's next? What are our fine congress men and women going to force down our collective throats next? Mandatory and required suicide for the old and infirm,or those with decreased mental capacity?
After all,in the eyes of a progressive nation where volunteer service is mandatory, the useless feeders are a drain on resources.
