Is there any way to 'hide' a forum?

I don't know if this was discussed before, but is there anyway to remove a specific forum from view? For instence, if I were to absolutely dispise the Prediction forum is there a way that I can hide it from my Recent Posts page? This feature would be promising because when you keep seeing something that annoys you, you are bound to say something negative about it or even unintentionally start a flame war.

Just a suggestion.

that's not a bad idea.... especially since I believe that negative posts get put into threads that people disagree with, not the subject of that particular thread, but the forum totally..

O, that would be sooo cool. The prediction threads do make me nuts, and some of the religion ones.

Maybe, a way to click them off so you wouldn't see them, a ignore list, as it were.

Aah, but IS it censorship if I decide to hit the ignore button and certain threads not longer clog up my screen...I think not!

Sounds more like choice to me

I just want to not be distracted by all of the Ring threads.

If I don't want to read a thread, I don't. I don't usually read the rings threads either because I'm not participating, but I don't need the facility of blocking them entirely. I just don't read them.

I mmean if you dont want to view a forum then dont.

Well, I read just about everything as most threads veer or go completely on to another topic so even though this is unlikely with the rings threads, I still do it out of force of habit.
