Trying to glean more information from the Rh-negs (blood type) out there who are interested in the Science, Missing Link, alien-type connection--no kooks, please.

Best,
Eileen

The RH negative gene in Europe has been found to originate (at least focus) in the Basque area of Spain, Portugal, and France. And, account for 25-30% of the population in those regions. Where, they range from 6-10% of most Eastern European people. There is also a small population 1-4% of far-east Asians and native Americans with this factor. (I encourage you to look up these numbers, as I am running from memory)

Some believe that this gene is actually a Cro-Magnon or Neanderthal gene that entered the human family, through breeding, a very long time ago (several tens of thousands of years, perhaps hundreds of thousands).

These people are marked with "blue" appearances at birth, lower-than-average body temperatures, immunity to some diseases (e.g. AIDS, Bubonic plague (maybe related to: Gene name: CCR5 delta 32)), higher-than-average IQ's, higher pre-frontal cortex activity (motivation), and assumed (yet, unproven) psychic abilities, which I believe is only due to the fact that people with higher IQ's use more of their entire brain.

Beyond those simple facts, the Science is on-going. I am encouraging this conversation, and make no claim to the accuracy of the information given.

Oh, and for the record, all humans can use 100% of their brain. ~10% of the brain is neurons, and the rest is mostly gluons (which support neurons), and this is why we have the MYTH that humans only use 10% of their brain. This, of course, is a misunderstanding of the nature of neurology.

Something to add about Rh negative blood is that, if a woman has more than one child with a man who is Rh+, the body, unless treated, recognizes all the babies after the first as being a parasite and tries to kill it.

You mean, of course, an RH- woman.

I liked that the OP made connotation toward an "alien" source for the gene as a Scientific endeavor. Like, we have aliens we can experiment on? That part is definitely a tea-sneezer.

This topic has been hashed out here for a while.

I think your answers or new questions are best added to this thread.

It is very interesting indeed.

I am RH -Neg as are a few other members in my family, originating from aliens may explain why some of them are nuts. lol

It was the addendum of ....no kooks, pease....that made me snort my iced tea. I could see a plea for all of that even if I think it silly, but to then add "no kooks, please"......oh my.

I agree, RHain. I think this thread should end on this note.

You mean erythroblastosis fetalis!

Sorry I just get excited when I know things. As for the Rh factor, I think it is just a case of geographical isolation evolving sub-species, and then the sub-species inter-breeding. I can't really think of any fun alien theories though. Let's say the aliens are actually making hybrids with humans which is causing the negative Rh factor.

That's enough tomfoolery for one day I suppose.

Oh yeah. I am Rh negative too, and type AB in case anyone was wondering.

Are you serious? Why do people perpetuate this kind of rubbish? Are you thinking of 'blue babies'? Do you understand what that means? Why the CDE subtype and none of the other 30+ common subtypes?
