Obama Considers Request to Deploy Troops to Mexican Border

President Obama is considering whether to grant emergency requests for National Guard troops along the U.S.-Mexico border, as drug-related violence spirals out of control in the country's southern neighbor.

Well I must say "Good for you President Obama"

This is something he must put serious thought into with such violence at the moment in Mexico. The drug cartels have been very bold of late and anything to stem the violence from spilling over the US border has to be seen as a positive thing.

If the Mexican government falls, which it very well may, the small amount of control they have in the border regions will be negated further. With Phoenix Arizona being the kidnapping capital of the US as it is (most linked with drug cartels) he can not stand by and let this escalate further.
