Demon Gravestone

Yeah those Aliens are popping up everywhere. Family Guy, now on gravestones!

It's a conspiracy!.



Seriously though.

Optical illusion due to a combination of the carvings, deterioration and shadow.

I Do not think it was an original carving. As you can see the Cemetary is from the late 1700's and most of the stones in the cemetary are severely erroded. When I was looking at the gravestone eye level- I could not make out a shape of what it looked like. It wasnt until I took a picture of it standing above it- that the shape of the demon appeared...

And those who say all they see is a tombstone give me a break. There is obviously a picture of a demon/gargoyle here with a long face and wings it's plain as day.
