Yeah it's a bit weird lol.

Despite his looks he's managed to stare down a couple of large dogs before.

He has no fear whatsoever.

I'm so sorry.

We had a cat that we totally loved about five years ago. She was an indoor cat and declawed. The electrician let her out by accident... we never saw her again and we have a lot of predators around here. My mom's still not over it.

I hope your kitty turns up! Sometimes they do that. We have two cats currently, one of them went missing for three days inside the house and turned up behind some boxes.

Oh man, I wish I had the words to console you my friend.

I know how close the bond can be with our furry friends.

I'm praying that he finds his way back to you.

I really am.

Hi Internos,
Don't lose hope. I'm very involved with a cat rescue society and what astonishes me is that cats will go missing for days. We will look high and low for them and then they just show up at home again. Most cats get very bonded to thier home if they have been there for a while and are well treated. They will try very hard to get back. Don't forget to check around your home regularly in case he is waiting to get back inside.

Last week we adopted a cat out to a new family. He is a very special cat and was pretty much everybody's favorite cat at the shelter. It was sad to say goodbye. As soon as he got to his new home he darted out of the house. I got quite attached to him while he was at the shelter so I have been out looking for him every spare minute that I have. I wouldn't be surprised to see him pawing at the window back at the shelter sometime soon. He loved it there and was of course pampered like crazy by all of the volunteers. In the mean time the shelter volunteers have been handing out pictures of him, hanging up posters, placing ads in the papers and on Kijiji. There isn't anywhere in that neighborhood where you can look and not see a picture of him. The calls about sightings have started coming in so I'm confidant that we will find him. if you have some free time on your hands you may want to start talking to people in your neighborhood and posting ads. Its a big world out their and the more eyes the better. Some local papers and radio stations will advertise missing pets for free. It is also important to check with the local animal control pounds on a regular basis. Depending on the pound, pets that are not claimed withing a few days may be euthanized.

As for missing your cat, I have learned that their are some people out there that feel like you and I do. The day I lose one of my cats will be by far the worst time of my life. They are my children to me.

Just remember that cats are great survivors and he is probably doing fine out there.

Keep looking and good luck.

This morning i open the door to get out and who was there?
Lil Spirit: my little friend came back during last night, i've cried tears of joy, couldn't stop hugging him: he was incredibly stinky and hungry like the wolf, but after some check i'd say he's ok, he's sleeping close to me right now. I want to thank you everyone for your nice and comforting words and wanted share my joy after having shared my pain.
dainoyfb, it's very nice what you do for them, it's a luck that there are people like you for our little friends: i've been looking for him every time i could, on foot, keeping on calling him, even by night. I was always thinking about him: he's used to stay in the very closeness of my home (especially in the garden, he seems to have found some herbs that he loves there), but when he escaped, he did from some hundred meters
from home, this got me a little concerned. Fortunately he escaped the day after a concert for the local Sagra: he would have been shocked by the traffic, the people, the sound and the fireworks. During these days almost everyone told me that he would come back, but you know, when it happens to you it's very difficult to be optimistic. I've also been reading articles about cats coming back, and it seems that also scientists are puzzled about how they exactly do, there's more than one theory about it, and some stories sound incredible to me.
This morning i've felt one of the strongest emotions i've ever felt: now he's sleeping after having eaten MUCH ham steak, his favourite food together with the fish, (i will cook a fish for him later, i know that many will think that i'm crazy, but i don't care: i usually feed him with cats food, but this is some special circumstance

A BIG thank you again everyone.

That's so wonderful - I've been thinking about you so much.

I'm nearly crying with joy myself. Give him a big hug for me. Honestly, that's made my day.

Oh I'm so glad Spirit turned up!
It absolutely sucks to lose a cat, we had a black and white kitten with a weak heart, went out one night and never came back again.
I still think about that cat...

But you should definitely pamper that puss!

It's pretty amazing that a housecat found its way back actually, how cool!
