i have not seen the video, maybe you could find me a link please also. the uk govenment is doing these same vidoes by your description, however alot of people think this is for natural emergencies and we dont get that many, so people dont care as much here in the uK ( my opinion there )

but i have things ready incase we get an emergency which my B.O.B should help me out.

Im in the UK near Manchester and I havent come across any government tv video commercials that you are mentioning
ok I dont watch much tv so maybe that is why.....Is there a British link similar to to the US web site for how to prepare in emergencies, I know rarely to we encounter natural disasters but wouldnt mind knowing if such a web site exsists.....

How do you know that about ceartin commercials only broadcasting in ceartin areas might i ask?

1.) It's common knowledge that commercials in one region of the country can be completely different than another.

For example... I've never seen a Carls Jr. commercial, because they don't have any in my region. I believe The Government is selective in how they spend the money campaigning for ready.gov in the same way. Possibly more advertisements on the East Coast than the West Coast?... stuff like that.

2.) I haven't seen any kind of advertisements for www.ready.gov in my area... but I'll be on the look out. Has anyone else in Texas?

Guys fear is how they gain control over you.

Relax. Your in control of your reality, or at least you have the choice to be more reponsible for your being.

2012, is really coming, and your mind will open up. It's already starting. Awareness is traversing the globe, as our solar system is shifting in this galaxy. We are been bombarded by cosmic energy.

I think you're all getting your undies in a little bit of a bunch over this sort of thing. I've spent the past 12-18 months researching and writing a book about "national emergencies" and the government's response to them (including Continuity of Government programs).

The US has been actively preparing for "disasters" (including nuclear war) since the end of World War II. What FEMA and websites like ready.gov are attempting to do is not much different from what older civil defense programs did in the '50s and '60s. People laugh at the notion that school kids "ducking and covering" when a nuke explodes is any sort of protection, but in reality, it was. So were (and still are) bomb shelters. Would they save you from a direct hit? No. But if you lived in the 'burbs, you would likely survive without too many problems. The government's solution back then was an attempt to overprepare the nation in hopes of eliminating the irrational fear over an event like a nuclear war. If we got past the nonsense (like some of the responses on this website show) and looked at the situation rationally, you'd see that there was a good chance of survival and the government was willing to help you do so.

There have been Presidential Executive Orders and laws passed by Congress again dating back to just after World War II that allows the government to take control of just about every aspect of your life (where you live & work, all transportation & food, etc.) in the event of a "national emergency." Yet none of these have ever been enacted to date. The last update of these sorts of Executive Orders haven't been done since President Reagan, nearly 30 years ago. For all the fear mongering about what the recent President Bush was going to do to us citizens, he never did a thing in these sort of controlling regards (well, there was that wiretapping bit). It was very legal for him to round up and deport every foreign born person over the age of 14 that was from a "terrorist state," yet even that action was never taken.

What a website like ready.gov is attempting, and what everyone should listen to, is to prepare everyone in the nation for any sort of emergency - from the outbreak of a war to a pandemic to just a tornado or other weather related event. Why is the government pushing for such preparedness? Did you see its response to Hurricane Katrina, or Hurricane Andrew, or any other massive disaster?

The government, if you're paying attention, warns you that you are going to have to fend for yourself in the event of any major emergency for at least 3 days prior to them getting their disaster relief efforts organized and in place to try to help. If those screaming in New Orleans after Katrina had paid attention, they might have been better prepared to cope rather than sit around and wait for the government to rescue them. Not that I think the government did a good job in that case, but you're a fool to think you don't have to help yourself survive in that sort of situation. The government is pushing programs like ready.gov because sooner or later, something else is going to happen. It's envitable. Why you think there's some sort of plot going on behind these preparedness efforts, well...that's up to you to consider. I just think the government is actually thinking ahead for once. In part, to save its own reputation, but also in hopes of sparing a few lives that don't need to be lost.

I don't think you should thank them for being "prepared"

I think you should thank them for what's happening to you because of them

But that's a nice try to pretend to be " well organized " saviors when these saviors are the cause of all your problems

Cheers from France guys , hold on yankees you're tough enough !!!!

As was posted earlier, there is another thread somewhere here on ATS about these "advertisements". Not much to get too overly concerned about, imo. They are there to alert people to try and be prepared for at least 3 days, just in case of some sort of "disaster".

Those of us "In the know" are preparing already and some have been prepared for years. I personally don't really know what's going to happen. There is way too much going on in our world right now for me to get a "crystal clear" picture but I have a bad feeling about all this. I read the stories and the threads here and I realize that "something" is going to happen.

Used to be a time when American's were prepared. A time when American's could fend for themselves to a certain degree and were "PROUD" of that ability. Way too many people now-a-days expect the government to do for them. Way too may people now-a-days find it too inconvenient to "prepare". American's in general have become lazy and apathetic towards their own welfare. More concerned about the newest video game system or electronic gadget then their own welfare.

I've talked to any number of folks about what's going on around us. Some agree with me and tell me they are prepared/preparing for the worst, others laugh. The ones that laugh I just look in the eye and say "Well, you can spend a few hundred on some supplies to have stocked and if something DOES happen you'll be thankful. Or you can spend a few hundred on some supplies and NOTHING happens but HEY! at least you have food to last you a while!"

Oh geez, all I was missing was a manual to tell me to go down in the basement the last time a hurricane suddenly hit Florida....all you Floridians know why that is funny
(we don't have basements or storm shelters). Bad advertising!

Pop looked really efficient in his pristine pink shirt, caring for a bunch of kids that no one obviously cared about leaving the house in bad weather!

I've lived in Florida a little over half of my life, and the first thing I thought was, WTF, Basement???
We aren't in NY here.

Second, you hit the nail on the head, no body must care about those kids, because the other parents saw a storm coming and said... hey nows our chance, lets send timmy and tommy over to the Johnson's down the road.

You have to love the fact that they HAD to throw in a 2 second clip of 9/11 as well....

I sometimes wonder if the big one, the final straw, the troops and the martial law, the mass attack, I wonder if it will ever come at all.
Yes I feel that something is coming but I have felt that way for a while, and yes it does seem like current events are more dangerous than the dangers of a couple years ago and believe they really are more dangerous, but what I mean is couldn't we all be distracted? Like we all feel this tension, we all have this gut feeling that something BIG is going to happen, and we are looking out for this big thing to happen so we can finally say holy crap, it really happened.

Could it be that those feelings are actually part of the deception?
That we are experiencing these feelings of some impending huge event, while all the while it is happening all around us and right in front of us. Every day we get just a little more bad news, just a little more freedoms taken away. stocks are down a little more. We see this and we say, Oh man I can feel it coming, something big is gonna happen. Look back, even 6 months.
If the changes from last September 'till now occured say, from last week untill now I think we might be saying that this is it, the big one is happening.

I think it is happening I think I may have been expecting that in one week the markets would crash and America would collapse and there would be riots and homelessness, and looting, and police goon squads, then troops. I now think that in fact IT IS happening RIGHT NOW and that what I had been expecting to take a week may actually take a year, or two years.

Something to think about

This is the reason why I actually think the shadow government and freemasons are not as intellegent as me

Why
Because I can see what they are doing, why they are doing, and knowingly well enough there pissing against the wind.

You keep pissing the wind, will just blow you away, no matter how powerful you think you are.

Basically the government, invoke fear into the mases. it freezes you and controls you. It's fight or flight. But the powers of be are not realising that to much fear, might just backfire and cause people to fight rather than just ffreeze. I'ts now backfiring.

The freemasons are really losing their power
I always have the LAST WORD in this reality.

I suppose it never occured to anyone that these "FEMA camps" might just be emergency shelters?? After all the griping that the government didn't do enough for people immediately after 9/11 and right after Katrina-you're all complaining that these "camps" are to hold us in?-lol...seems to me that you think the government is ALWAYS wrong and conspiring against us about everything, darned if they do...darned if they don't...gimme a break...all the fearmongering is helping NOONE...don't you get ulcers or something worrying all the time? Don't get me wrong-self preparedness is ALWAYS a good thing-survival strategies for natural disaster, possible attacks, people SHOULD know how or what to do to take care of themselves, family and neighbors in times of crises, and NOT have to rely and wait for government to step in to take care of them. But I guess this is what we've become as a society relying on government to take care of it all for us. I guess living in the northeastern woods and just coming out of a major snowstorm that shut down power for almost a week last week makes me more aware than others how quickly MOTHER NATURE can be as much of a culprit as anything or anyone else. So instead of complaining that we should "Wake-up" How about if you go take a nap? Your nerves must be shot!!!
Just MY OPINION-no flak necessary...Good day!!!www.americanpatrol.com...

This kind of proves something I had been thinking about.
Our government wants to rile us all up get us to riot and then they can lock us all away.

The same thing is happening in Canada. The canadian governement are paying for a ad on tv that is very similar with what you're seeing in the states. Since a live only 2 hours from the US border, I suppose that when SHTF we'll be right in it.

I was wondering, since the economic crisis is looking much worse in the states than in Quebec where I live, many american will try to come north. Anyway, when the trouble starts, the first thing I will do is going as north as I can. I know a few reclusive corners of northern Quebec that are pretty hard to find. I have a nice shack in the woods, and one big BOB ready.

Now just waiting for the show to begin.

I was in the county courthouse annex in the area I reside in to take care of a speeding ticket and noticed a large bearded man in casual clothing and with a briefcase and some kind of electronic device around his neck on some kind of lanyard..... He had been walking up and down hallways until a county deputy noticed him and asked him to follow him. I overheard him say " You FEMA people are around here so much, I'm getting to where I can now spot you guys".... Watch out people, the guy looked like Santa Clause to me. ... There have been a lot of Feds in and out of this county for some reason since I moved here 14 years ago, but I am observant enough to notice these things and people that are in a position to tell me why these people are here aren't talking.

I want to know where the OP lives... it's important, because ceratain comercials only broadcast in local areas.

Are you kidding me? One of the reasons everyone was "persuaded" to get a cable box is so each individual house could receive different commercials and/or messages, depending on demand. Makes one wonder if there's any truth to certain "lists" people are on.

I've noticed this as well. We keep hearing about being prepared...we keep hearing about military training just in case there's an emergency...we keep hearing about local law enforcement emergency training...
Why all of a sudden this massive influx if training and preparedness? Either something is going to happen; they know there will be civil unrest to their NWO plans; or they will be the ones causing an emergency.
What a great time to declare marshal law, right after a wave of "terrorist attacks" across the country

OK, Folks Im right there with ya, but as a FORMER, and I stress FORMER FEMA employee back before homeland security. I can tell you for a fact that commercial has been running since almost 1995. It is a scare tactic , or atleast started out that way to make people wake up to natural emergency possibilities, but after 911, it was ramped up to include terrorism. Dont pay any attention to it, just go on doing your preparations.
Im out of that group of particular nut heads, but I still have friends who work for them, and they are doing what you and I and everyone else wioth a lick of sense is doing, having a BOB ready, making sure we have enough food, fuel, water, and Ammo ready when it happens.
It is exactly as on poster stated- a scare tactic. Take it with a grain of salt and go on doin your thing.
