"Change How Washington Works"

So said Obama.

Like hell:

The man who is President Obama's newly minted urban czar pocketed thousands of dollars in campaign cash from city developers whose projects he approved or funded with taxpayers' money, a Daily News probe found.

Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion often received contributions just before or after he sponsored money for projects or approved important zoning changes, records show.

Most donations were organized and well-timed.

Even more corrupt than Bush was.

Welcome to The Greater Depression folks.

Until there is accountability, which this administration absolutely refuses to enforce, there will be no turn in the economy or the markets.

We were promised that which our new Presidunnit has no intention of delivering now, and never did.

It as all just a continuation of "the big lie" of the past decade.

Enjoy it when you're unemployed, homeless and hungry folks, and remember who's responsible.

It is NOT just Democrats or Republicans.

It's both.

Couldn't be more right.

S & F....as I usually do for your threads.

It is NOT just Democrats or Republicans. It's both.

Now if we could only get the rest of the public to realize this...they are starting too.

Meet the new boss... Same as the old boss.

On the surface only is Obama making changes for any good. All else stays the same, inexorably goose-stepping to the New World Order.

I've gotten to the point where I'm just going to laugh and watch as Rome burns.

Obama appoints yet another crook. Who whudda thunk it?

It is pointless to try and convince people that we are being played. So I'm just going to look out for me and mine and whoever else is on the same level as me, and just ride it out.

I have yet to see any changes Obama has made "on the surface" which are for the good of the people of this country. The only ones he's managed to help are the illegals and low-lifes.

More Lawlessness: AIG

Unbelievable:

"AIG will also give the U.S. Federal Reserve a preferred interest in its American Life Insurance Co (Alico), which generates more than half of its revenue from Japan, and Hong Kong-based life insurance group American International Assurance Co (AIA) in return for reducing its debt, they said."

The Federal Reserve does not have the legal authority to take ownership stakes in anything.

This is what we get for not raising unholy hell when Bear Stearns' "Maiden Lane" was put in place, or when AIG's CDOs and CDS were taken by The Fed.

Now we're rising to open and flagrant flouting of the law.

The Fed, for those who are uninformed, is empowered to loan (under unusual and exigent circumstances) anyone money against collateral.

However, they are not empowered to own anything except debt instruments backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Federal Government.

That they would take an equity stake in a firm based in Hong Kong is beyond outrageous.

Folks, there is no reason whatsoever to believe that our financial system or capital markets will stabilize until "The Bezzle" is forced from our markets.

Make no mistake - it will be forced out.

The only question that remains is whether it will be forced out as a consequence of regulatory action or mass bankruptcy, with unemployment reaching 30% and possibly beyond, 20% of the S&P 500 bankrupt and the SPX trading at 210.

We are headed directly to at least the mid 400s on the S&P and 4,000 on the DOW unless this idiocy is stopped here and now, and I have absolutely no belief that our government has any interest whatsoever in stopping it.

Welcome to the Greater Depression.

Hmmm. What is your definition of "low life...?" Women who want more time to bring suit in cases of pay discrimination? I guess so, as that has really been the only positive step Obama has taken.

The rest snuggle closely into the NWO plans. Just like the old boss.

So we may be witnessing the final death throes of the great American Dream. Some day I may be telling my grand kids about the old free America over a cup of government issued coffee missing my cigarettes from when they were still legal, doing so because I do not wish to watch government controlled television content or read the Fed daily newspaper.
For those of us such as myself that cringe over such thoughts we better figure out how to turn our current direction around and get back to real American fundementals and break the chain of power from the Bushes, the Obamas, the Kennedy's and the Rockerfellers. This is OUR country dammit!.

More to the point...this is our planet. Without a plan of our own, it will get much worse.

I offer a plan woven into fiction in my book (linked in my sig FREE). My goal is to show everyone we have a choice. But without others in abundance seeing the path, it will become too late.

I think it goes further than that TT. I think we're witnessing the end of the United States proper as we know it. Sadly, each and everyday news such as this gets reported, it becomes increasingly obvious that this is where we are headed.

The best one can hope for is a 'reboot' of the system and change back into a Constitutional Republic form of government. Maybe if we are lucky, a simple reversion back to nation states. At this point, I think it's doubtful.

I think it's going full blown towards a reformat and I don't think anyone wants to discuss the potential outcome of that.

We will not have the collapse of our "supposed" Constitutional Republic replaced with another Constitutional Republic.

We will have something Horrible, Military dictatorship, total anarchy, IMF takes over and rules us, Civil war, take your pick...

Show me just once in history where a collapsed "democratic" (or anything close to one) government fell and was replaced by a better government. You can't.

People will not get up and fight for a good government until they truly feel severe bondage from the government that is ruling them.

Oh how I wish it were different.

Amaterasu, human beings for some unknown reason will not choose what is the best course for everyone. Somehow, someway, we simply were wired wrong.

I beg to differ. We Human Hearted are beset with corporate manipulation that sickens us, robs us of motivation (fluoride), and pulls us into poor behaviors because we are desperate, all the while being blamed for all the worse behavior the Lizard Hearted of this world pertetrate.

As such, doped and duped, we find it difficult to actually do something.

However, the beauty of my plan, the truly awesomeness of it is that no routines need be broken for most, and those in a position to do something can do it (and probably will want to). But to see where I'm going with this...read my book.

None of the options are good, but I guess if we have to pick one I'm going to go for revolution. At least there we have them out numbered and chance to restore the Republic.

But history repeats it self and as far as a NWO that is on our side. As far as what happens after the collapse of an empire well history is against us on that one.

Who knows maybe we can add a new chapter in history, but unfortunately too many people have an entitlement mentality and therefore the odd are in favor of ending up with a fascist regime.

Here's some more "change".

"Liberal media outlets are doing their best to boost former Washington Gov. Gary Locke, President Obama's third pick for the beleaguered Commerce Secretary job. "Obama's New Commerce Pick Has Clean Reputation," declared National Public Radio's Tom Banse. The Democrat possesses "a largely scandal-free resume" reported The New York Times. He is a "safe choice," the Washington Post asserted, because of his "strait-laced reputation."

The left-leaning Seattle Weekly newspaper notes that Locke presided over a $3.2 billion tax break for Boeing while "never disclosing he paid $715,000 to -- and relied on the advice of -- Boeing's own private consultant and outside auditor." Then there's the tainted matter of Locke's "favors for his brother-in-law (who lived in the governor's mansion), including a tax break for his relative's company, personal intervention in a company dispute, and Locke's signature on a federal loan application for the company." Locke's laces ain't so straight."

townhall.com...

I guess they thought the third time would be a charm. Still more proof that Obama doesn't know the meaning of the word change. He might have better luck recruiting from prisons.

dear all. here's Where you should attack and why.
By Joel Turtel

NewsWithViews.com

One reason public schools get away with educational failure, year after year, is because they are run by left-leaning politicians and school officials who passionately believe that government should control your children's mind, values, and future. As the great English writer C. S. Lewis wrote, "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. Those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

Public-school socialist true-believers often fall into this category --- for over a 150 years, education "progressive" so-called experts have been tormenting our children with public schools, allegedly for our children's benefit. Like all fascist, socialist, or communist true-believers, these people absolutely believe that they know what is best for your children, and seek to ram their beliefs down parents' throats.

From the 1840s to the 1930s, public-school "progressive" activists like Horace Mann and John Dewey worked to create a public-school system like the one they admired in Prussia (Germany). Mann and Dewey considered public education a religion, with a holy mission to mold children and society. Simply teaching children to read, write, and do math was too commonplace a goal for them. Mann and Dewey wanted the schools to have total control over children's lives. This meant removing parents' influence over their children. Mann put it this way: "We who are engaged in the sacred cause of education are entitled to look upon all parents as having given hostages to our cause."

Dewey had a socialist utopian vision for America and he wanted the common schools to achieve his vision. To create a government-dominated socialist America, public schools had to mold generations of children into the habit of obedience. In his "Pedagogic Creed" of 1897, Dewey wrote, "Every teacher should realize he is a social servant set apart for the maintenance of the proper social order and the securing of the right social growth. . ."

By the early twentieth century, public schools had expanded their functions into areas undreamed of in the 1850s. Schools took on the role of social agencies, with nurses, social centers, playgrounds, school showers, kindergartens, and "Americanization" programs for immigrants. Public schools became a major agency for social control.

Unfortunately, today's public schools are fulfilling Mann's and Dewey's "government- knows-best" vision with a vengeance. There is hardly any area of children's lives that school authorities now don't push to control. Politicians and public-school apologists in many states are now pushing programs that would make kindergarten compulsory. Yes, they now want to literally take 3 and 4-year old children from their mother's arms and stick them in public-school nursery-classrooms.

Public schools also now spend billions of dollars for psychological counseling, school-lunch programs, mandatory drug-testing, parent welfare-outreach programs, special-education classes, bilingual classes, early-childhood programs, drug and sex education classes, as well as programs for millions of "at-risk" or "special-needs" children.

This government-knows-best philosophy is the deepest reason why public schools get away with educational murder and can never be fixed. Public-school apologists believe that government bureaucrats and school authorities should dictate your children's education and the values they are taught. By implication, they believe that parents are an annoyance at best. More often, they believe that parents are a danger to their children's "proper" education and the values children "ought" to be taught by government employees.

To turn your children into dumbed-down, obedient little citizens and multiculturalist "citizens of the world," public-school authorities have to keep an iron grip on your children's minds and values. That is why public-school true believers will never voluntarily give up control over our children. They see themselves as noble idealists who know what is "best" for your children. That is why these socialist-fascist-minded "idealists" have contempt for your parental rights.

In the recent Congressional elections, the police-state chickens are coming home to roost. The majority of 18 to 25 year-olds, graduates of our socialist-indoctrinating public schools, voted for Democrats. These are the children who spent 12 years in public schools that systematically insult traditional American ideals and values. These are the schools that preach the multicultural trash that all cultures' values are "equal," and that American values of individual rights, economic liberty, and limited government are "selfish" or arrogant.

Well, our public-school "graduates" are now voters, and their socialist-indoctrinated mind-set now attracts them to Democrats like moths to a flame. God help this country, because public schools turn out millions of these child-adults who haven't the faintest conception about the values this country was founded on, or have little respect or contempt for those values.

Parents, for your children's sake, walk away from the public schools. Also, don't depend on vouchers or charter schools, which are few and far between. Take control of your children's education and the values you teach them by homeschooling your kids or enrolling them in a low-cost Internet private school of your choice. Your children's future is at stake, and so is, by the way, the future of our Republic and our liberties.

I think we all know what needs to be done. We need to remove the cancer and find a way to place healthy tissue in its place. Then we need to cut away the fat (lobbyist, conflicts of interest, ect.) and make sure the Govt. doesn't forget who it serves and why. I think we also need to pull a fight club on the media just so they understand if they don't like America the way it is, they can go to any one of the countries that think like they do.

Here's a way to create jobs, and help the steel industry at the same time. Increase border security and build a big arse fence all the way across. Two problems solved with one stone
...but that might hurt their NAU plans...

TT I've had a thought, and it's not a happy thought, that I should have been keeping a journal of all that I have seen here during the election and early Obama administration, cause one day when I have kids/grandkids what they will learn in their history books will be nothing like what actually happened.

Well then if we want the history books to be correct then we had better do something. I mean, look at all the other crap we have to fix in those books, might as well sort this one out before we have to sort out another falsity.

At this point most will agree, something big is brewing underneath the surface of this country. The general public is waking up, Zbigniew Brzezinski said it himself. And they are afraid of it. That awakening is the fly in their ointment. Look how we are now hearing that Iran could build a nuke in the MSM. The propaganda machine is going back to full gear, but you know what? I don't think it will work this time. The spell of fear is dying and they can't bring it back.

It's gonna be a bumpy ride though.
