Strange sighting over Las Vegas

Ok, I wasn't sure if I was going to post this, but in the interest of disclosure etc:

Approx 7:25 pm 2/27/09 about an hour and 20 min ago, I'm sitting in my back yard looking at the sky I see a blur in the distance about 1 mile away. As I'm looking It's getting clearer that this object is heading on a path right over my house. As it gets closer I can see 2 NON-luminous whitish orbs, one following the other in a perfectly symetrical formation (one behind the other)connected by some kind of rod attaching the 2 in the middle. The best way I can describe it is like a giant barbell with 2 giant softballs attached(one at each end).
Now here's the interesting part. I live close to the airport so I know how fast the average airliner travels. Well this object was moving completly silent at a speed 1 1/2 - 2 times faster than the airliners on approx a 30deg northwesterly angle to the airport with NO blinking air traffic lights whatsoever. I live approx 7 miles from the Las Vegas strip and I'm going to guestimate that it would have only taken 15 to 20 seconds to fly right over the middle of the strip on the path it was heading.

So I know people report seeing orbs alot, but has anyone seen this barbell type craft before. I'd have to say the size of it was about twice that of a normal airliner. Another point to note is it is a perfectly still night, no wind whatsoever. So I'm ruling out wind blown debris.

Any and all constructive input is welcome.

Well my input is not exactly constructive.
What i have to ad is that i have credible friends to have seen unidentified fenomena in our skys. Not of exact match to yours, but of similar nature.
All i have to add before i close my poost is that you are a lucky guy to have had an experience and that i envy you.

Yeah, it was very odd and exciting I've seen many many ufo pics but never anything like this. I'll be in and outside all night now.

It was kind of hard to picture what you were describing.

Mind creating an artist impression? Even a simple Paint product would suffice.
