Don't Worry,
We may be having a total breakdown in our government. We may be having a total economic breakdown on its way. But don't worry, be happy. All of
this will be trivial to what is going to happen next.
Right now we are running out of water. The Tibetean Plateau has lost two thirds of it's water in the last ten years and the rate is accelerating.
This means that China, India, Pakistan, and many parts of Southeast Asia will have no water in the summers to irrigate it's crops. The countries in
this area hold half of the worlds total population and it's rivers are going to be dry in just a couple of years.
Last year 80% of the Krill died. The krill are tiny shrimp in which the seals, otters, whales and salmon feed on. The krill are the basis of the
food chain on our planet. But they are dead and it is found that the whales are now eating bottom fish. Just after I read this, I talked to a man in
Virginia Beach and he said that the beach was covered with thousands of dead crabs. They're dying too!
Over the last several years we have been seeing a huge loss of honey bees. This is called CCD or Colony Collapse Disorders. We have lost 80% of the
honey bees and orchard owners and farmers have already lost billions of dollars in lost crops. Einstein said that if we lose our honey bees that man
will have only four years to live.
In Europe, the shell fish are dying. Between 80% and 100% of young shell fish, such as oysters, are dying because of herpies. That's right, the
spread of Sexual Transmitted Diseases in our populations are now entering the food chain in the oceans and are killing the shell fish. Why are shell
fish and corals so important. The shells are made of Calcium Carbonate which is Carbon Dioxide and Calcium. The shell fish take the carbon dioxide
out of the water and store it in their shells which turns into limestone.
All along the equatorial regions we are seeing the coral "Bleach". Bleaching is caused when the water temperatures become too hot and the coral
pulls into their shells. If the temperature doesn't drop, the coral dies. The coral too captures the excesses of carbon dioxide and store it for
millions of years in the form of limestone. But that's not all. Because of the excesses of carbon dioxide are not absorbed, the water is now
turning more acidic causing the existing stored carbon dioxide in these shells to disolve, releasing the carbon dioxide back into the water and then
into the air.
So far there are nine hyper polluted areas in our oceans. Most of the fish are totally dead but in the surrounding areas, there are now huge numbers
of jelly fish growing. These jelly fish are competiting for food other fish need to eat and they are also eating the fish eggs. Our oceans are
dying.
The Arctic Ice Cap is melting and the Arctic Ocean is melting. We are now finding a frozen form of Methane on the oceans floor called Methane
Hydrate. This methane hydrate is right at the perfect depth to be at the tripping point to where is going to melt. When it melts, huge amounts of
Methane will be given off into the atmosphere. Methane is 23 times worse than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas. When this methane is given off
into the atmosphere, we will have no chance.
The permafrost is melting. 25% of the land mass is made of permafrost. When it melts the bacteria starts to eat it. It is already happening. When
the bacteria eat the permafrost bio materials, they give off methane. This release is equivalent to many times the entire coal and oil reserves being
used in just a very short time. We have no chance.
But all of this is leading to global warming, increased numbers and severity of storms, more drought and fires, hunger and global hunger. Social
unrest is next, then all out war. Are you ready? It's happening and we will see it in the next couple of years. C. Jeff Dyrek, Webmaster,
