German Jews slam former chancellor Gerhard Schroeder's visit to Iran, saying he is giving legitimacy to the Tehran government.
And this is exactly what Schröder does: He legitimates the Tehran government.
Why? Because he can. He does not need to obey the rules of german politics, he is free to state his opinion. That is:
