well..... that's a truism that covers all the banks i know.


i stayed with Nations Bank even after it was absorbed into Bank of America
several years ago.

BAC started fudging my account & sticking me with these 'check handling'
charges at $2-3 per clip... maybe every 3rd month.

but before that, the account balance for 'free' checking, increased 100%
to $500.
then 3 years later the required 'free checking' balance went to $750

all these are standard practices among the banks here in coastal SC, at least from the info i get from friends,
i even hear that the insuffucient funds penalty is $35 per instance...


at one time, i reasoned that the BAC ATM card was recognized nationwide
and i would save ATM fees as i drove across country...
but that reasoning fell to pieces.
