Fans of metal might know The Faceless, but this is their second album. I didn't pay that much attention to the lyrics (I usually don't), but when I got to the last track, there was this weird recording that is apparently from the Art Bell show where someone calls in talking about aliens in a very agitated voice. Then the final instrumental track kicks in.

Here's a quote from a review site where I think the lyrics are summed up fairly well:

The cover art sets the tone for the album perfectly, as does the shattered planet look of the disc itself. A science fiction feel is appropriate, although further analysis reveals much about the content of the lyrics. They aren’t actually fiction, depending on how you view the world today. Fans of David Icke and researchers of truth regarding the way the world REALLY is will instantly recognize the songs as observations on the current state of society and how we got to this point. Conspiracy veterans will also love the classic clip from Art Bell’s radio call in show. Not surprising in this age of mass media, the lyrical content will go grossly under appreciated and misunderstood. However, even if misunderstood, the metaphors stand on their own as creative and thought provoking, unlike most lyrics in this genre.

Hmm, could the writer be a member here as well?

I'm not sure if I buy the Reptilian deal, but anything is possible. At least this subject is getting covered in a different medium, maybe getting the word out to few more people?

Well they thank David Icke in the thanks/no thanks section in the cd booklet, and they also say no thanks to reptillians. Read the lyrics to the rest of the songs, as pretty much every other good metal band, when you know the lyrics, the song slows down for you, to hear all the aspects of the song itself. Whereas before you're really just hearing the riffs and drums and growling/screaming.
And their first cd, AKELDAMA, is also very very nice.

but right on for bringing this up!

Usually I can't relate to lyrics, so I don't normally listen for them or follow along in the book. I prefer instrumental music so that might tell you something

There's a million other metal bands that write about every topic in ufology, this isn't groundbreaking. As my avatar shows

For the best understanding of the "repitilian" issue, read The Terra Papers (linked in my sig). These were a term paper done in the late 1960's (well BEFORE Star Wars - and if you read you will know why that's important).

A native Hopi was taking a class in Origins of Religion and because he had access to information about the history of Earth that was given in trust to the Hopi by an ET who crashed in 1947 on Hopi land.

The Hopi were first on the scene, rescued the ET, and hid the ET from the military (who showed up shortly after the rescue). In thanks and trust, the ET gave the Hopi the history of the Earth.

When the author, Robert Morning Sky, saw that Von Daniken came very close to what the ET showed when Von D published Chariots of the Gods?, he petitioned the Elders to release the history as it related to the work of Von D.

Thus The Terra Papers were written.

Most of the "reptilian" stuff out there is misinformation, and over-the-top stuff to muddy the truth. I personally believe The Terra Papers have it as close to the truth as we have today, and is the source I recommend to use in evaluating the other stuff.

If the Papers are true, there are indeed "reptilians" out there.

back in 2001, the band TOOL, on their album Lateralus used the same art bell audio clip in the track "Faaip de Oiad" .. which, in the Enochian language means "voice of God"

not too original of the faceless.. but.. i guess it's worth repeating.

Right on, instrumentals are where its at too. The mood comes out better with instrumentals, you know what im saying! Im guessing you like music that is beatiful yet technical at the same time? Id suggest a band called Cynic. You might have heard of them, theyve been around a while.
