Victoria Fires: Man on Fatal arson, Child Porn Charges

A 39-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with lighting a fatal bushfire and possessing child pornography.

The Herald Sun reports the suspect, who cannot be named, was charged at Morewell Magistrates' Court with one count of arson causing death and one count of intentionally lighting a bushfire.

The arson charge carries a maximum penalty of 25 years, with the bushfire charge carrying a maximum penalty of 15 years.

If this guy is guilty, he is in for one hell of a ride when he goes to prison. A firebug and a rock-spider, he's got a double-header that is not going to win him any friends in the big house.

His defense lawyer has stated that his client is "psychologically unwell" and should be receiving medical attention.

Twenty-one deaths is the toll of this fire alone. If he is the "serial arsonist" that the police have been looking for, he may have a lot more blood on his hands.

I've always said arsonists are up there with Rapists & Child Molesters - this guy has proven me right.
May he burn eternally in hell and pain be the only sensation he feels from here on in.

I suggest all pro lifers visit Kinglake and surrounding areas to see the extent of death & carnage these low lifes / sub human / mass murders have caused before you start defending these parasites.

Why should these "things" be allowed to live and breathe when thy clearly have shown no regard to the hundreds of innocents they killed.

Apologies for the rant - this tragedy is very close to me and on top of it happened on my wedding day - Black Saturday - what an anniversary to remember.

Wow that is just plain disturbing, not sure what i expected but somehow it doesnt suprise me. If this guy is guilty he will be away for a long time.
But still its little solace to the families who have lost everything and in some cases more than that.
