India to launch cow urine as soft drink

Does your Pepsi lack pep? Is your Coke not the real thing? India's Hindu nationalist movement apparently has the answer: a new soft drink made from cow urine. The bovine brew is in the final stages of development by the Cow Protection Department of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), India's biggest and oldest Hindu nationalist group, according to the man who makes it. Om Prakash, the head of the department, said the drink – called "gau jal", or "cow water" – in Sanskrit was undergoing laboratory tests and would be launched "very soon, maybe by the end of this year". "Don't worry, it won't smell like urine and will be tasty too," he told The Times from his headquarters in Hardwar, one of four holy cities on the River Ganges. "Its USP will be that it's going to be very healthy. It won't be like carbonated drinks and would be devoid of any toxins."

Is it neccessary? Is it necceassry to drink my own urine, no, but it's sanitary and I like the taste!

I have always said that people are brainwashed they would eat their own s*it, if they were told that it's healthful.

And now I have got to read your thread.

Have a great time and better make sure you don't accidentally buy one of this soft drinks in the future.

Yeah the carbonated drinks I have don't smell like a cow peed in them, I can see how this one will be different.

I heard it is an aphrodisiac and makes you "horny"!

cow urine is known to have medicinal properties
that's not a big deal, every country has its own tradition and they just make it out. and the true is the cow urine has medical function, so why not make it tastes good

Sounds like a great new franchise opportunity -- McGandhi's :

"I'll take a Quarter Patty with Cheese, side order of flies, and a Venti Mocha Cowpuccino with a double shot of bovine urine, please!"
