I got this first off of Drudge then to the Smoking Gun. They really got the smoking gun in this one.

We always hear about those who view the picture of child pornography, but rarely do we ever hear of the people who perform the acts. Those are the ones we need to be going after, and in a major way. I am not saying that people like this guys is any less guilty by viewing it but there has to be a away to track ips and routers and find these guys and bring them down. Maybe it is just a jurisdictional thing with it being over seas but we need to do a better way of catching them and trying them,

And all he got was probation. The law seems to be a little lax in its terms of justice. I am not sure if he flipped on his supplier or something to get it reduced or just had a real liberal judge. I wish I could find more on that. But not all news articles are posted from 2000.

Yep, they only rarely go after those who sexual abuse children. They always go after those who download those photos. If they go after those that sexual abuse children, they won't have anyone to put in prison. Unless the child that being abuse reported to the law. Then they will arrest the abuser.

This piece of *&%^ needs to be locked up in a hole in the ground and left to die.

And how the hell did he get a job ANYWHERE. Doesnt anyone do background checks anymore? Or do people just look the other way?

Bruns leaves 'U' in criminal case
By Gerard Cohen-Vrignaud
Daily Staff Reporter
Less than two weeks after Department of Public Safety detectives had arrested him on charges of distributing child pornography, LSA first-year student Aaron Bruns voluntarily dropped out of the University while his case was pending, his lawyer told District Court Judge John Collins on Wednesday.

As a condition of his freedom - Bruns is out on a personal recognizance bond - Washtenaw County Assistant Prosecutor John Reiser asked that Bruns not use a computer for anything other than school work, said County Recorder Jackie Wallen.

Bruns' attorney Douglas Mullkoff indicated that he would not be using a computer since he had left the University.

Bruns' preliminary hearing was adjourned until May 12 at the request of his lawyer. Bruns was not present in court yesterday, having returned home to Lima, Ohio.

DPS detectives seized Bruns' computer on March 15 from his South Quad room. Thousands of pornographic images were stored on his computer, many of them of children in explicit sexual situations, said DPS Lt. Wesley Skowron.

Bruns was arrested on March 18 by DPS Sgt. Kevin McNulty and released after arraignment.

DPS was informed by the Florida Bureau of Investigations early last month that an individual using University internet access was trading child pornography via an internet chat relay, Skowron said.

The Florida authorities regularly monitor internet activities to catch traffic in child pornography.

Skowron said Information Technology Division officials tracked down Bruns and that he was still logged on to the relay chat at the time of his arrest.

Skowron said Bruns has been trading and downloading pornography since at least late January, receiving as many as a few hundred inquiries a day from others eager to trade child pornography.

Skowron said DPS does not view the trading of child pornography as a serious problem on campus.

"I think this is an isolated incident as far as child pornography," Skowron said. "We have no indications that there is a network at the University."

Julie Peterson, University spokesperson, said the University has not been informed of Bruns' decision to drop out.

"As far as I know, he's still enrolled," Peterson said.

If convicted of distributing child pornography, Bruns could face up to seven years in prison and a $50,000 fine.

Mullkoff declined to comment yesterday while the case is still pending.

Do you think it's better that they have jobs and places to live and are trackable or that they live on the streets and there is no way to know where they are at a given time?

Neither. I prefer they be kept far away from society. These people should never EVER be allowed to walk the streets.

And if they are out on the streets, the only way to track them is to have GPS on them. I seriously doubt that would go over real well.

Obviously him being out in the free world and being able to contribute to the horrible world of child porn is not the answer.

You're correct, that and the economics of it all. Many of the crime rings supply the government with cash to look away. Look at the Franklin Coverup

I personally think they should be "taken care of" in some way manner or form then locked up for life with the rest of their derranged scum buddies in this world.

If theyve got one picture then it surley wont be long before theyve got one video, then one child and, you get the picture...

Infact as far as tracking them goes they should all be introduced into some sort of chaing gang system for nonses and forced into labour for the better of society, grown their own and our food, cook their own and our meals and so on.

Once again, the question comes up of "Who are these people?" Clearly, we can all see that the people who run our news, media, tv's, commercials, etc are all corrupt just like the politicians.

The best way to do this. Is to built a prison city, and put them in them. They can use one of the military bases that been close to this. All the government have to do is put a wall around it. A prison city is same as a regular city, Where prisoner still work, get pay, pay taxes, pay bill, and buy things they allow to have. Because they won't be allow to have computers. They will be allow to have only land line phones. The different between a regular city and prison city. Is a prison city have a wall around it. The prison city also have police force that double as prison guards.

Only the poor, geeks, dorks, nerds, and ugly people. Very rarely a rich person and a good looking person goes to prison.

Escape from New York.... the movie... That doesn't sound like a nice place in the future you want... They do say that movies portray the future...

Scary...

I was just wondering if anyone knows if he was a freemason.... If you fall out of line with the masons it appears from stories that they will attack you with something similar to this. Load the computer with child porn etc and let the guy suffer because he didn't want to continue follow the rules... You may have noticed how a lot of MSM personalities who voice opinions are ridiculed...

IMO

One has to be careful with this type of concept.

It would be very appealing to a control hungry government to expand this idea and lock away people with minor offenses, political activists, or people under suspicion.

I know you're not implying that we build work camps and start locking away political opponents and the lower class... but given that politicians are power hungry by nature, you know that's where it could end up.

It's not an easy thing to decide what to do with these pedophiles and child pornographers.
They need to be dealt with, and harshly... but "how" is the question.

I feel making prisons the size of cities might be edging on turning the nation into a prison population itself.
When the nations incarceration rate is so high, it's time to begin trying to find the root causes, rather than build bigger cages.

What those causes are, I haven't the foggiest.

I think he means pedophile judge. Clearly this guy got off easy because the judge could relate. There's just no other option I can figure out. If it was a pay-off, the case would have just been thrown out. The judge just has to be into that crap himself. Did any of you guys read the descriptions of the files on that warrant? The last one was the worst, if you can even rank them:

An image titled, "qqaazz pthc pedo 3yo girl tied and butt [snip]ed". This image depicts a female child under the age of 5 laying on her stomach with her pants down in a spread eagle position with her legs and wrist bound by duct tape.

I mean... what moron would give that guy probation and no jail time? What moron would hire him to report on a Presidential primary campaign? People like this should hold the job title "Prison Bitch" for the rest of their lives.
