story here

Hey, at least she wasn't beating the students, but this is something that she should be doing on her own time. Schools sure seem like crazy places these days.

Economic crisis is out of hand. Teacher diven to prostitution?!
I took up dog walkin and house sitting.

I agree with the OP, this should be done on her own time

I guess we now can assume which one pays more.

Do you think the teacher's union will fight to save her job?

On the bright side...At least she wasn't doing her under age students. So it could be worse.

Misdemeanor prostitution

Felony misuse of property.....

Hmm. Thought I'd point that little thing out.

Whatever, times are hard, and so are the men. It doesn't take a genius to put 2 and 2 together.

What this highlights is the need to double teacher salaries across the board. Higher pay would lure moe into the field and allow school districts to be picky with who they hire as opposed to the current nethod of having a credential and a heartbeat.

In the Palo Alto Unified School District we as resident pay an extra $500 dollars a year in the form of a parcell tax that goes directly to teacher wages. Thus the district can pick and choose its teachers. It more that a coincidence that its one fo the top school districs in California.

en.wikipedia.org...

This needs to be the model nationwide IMHO

I guess it depends on if any board members are former "johns".

But, seriously, with all the things teachers have done directly to their students, this is fairly minor in comparison. It does however involve sex(forbidden), and not violence(encouraged), so i am sure she will get no support. She could always pull the alcoholic sympathy card, who knows.

I agree with FredT, why are people so cheap when paying for the future. Better pay plus more strict standards should equal higher quality educators. Kinda reinforces the whole "a dumb population is an easily controlled population" conspiracy, though.

Oh well, it's her body. What difference does it make? The government is already screwing her in more ways than one. At least she makes a little cash this way.

A good friend of mine is an 8th grade math/science/history (basically anything) teacher and is damn good at it. He's good with the kids, and they love him.

But if you catch him on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night, he valets cars to make ends meet.

Teacher salaries are in the crapper.

Well theres a shocker eh? Cmon people, times are tough, so what's a girl gonna do? Sure she has a job, barely making ends meet. A girl has to eat you know. So what does she do? Turns to the oldest profession for a little financial boost.

At least she isn't doing live demos for sex ed class.

In these tough economic times who are we to pass judgement on people for making up their monitary shortfalls moonlighting?

Well of course! If she were a model, she'd already have a wealthy husband taking care of her.

To all:
But where in that article did it say she was prostituting to make ends meet? It didn't. So even though you're probably correct, you shouldn't speculate.
