I see what you mean, but I have never seen a seagull cause lens flares before to be honest. Some of the edges on the upper part look too sharp to me to be organic, but your comparison is just as valid as any, now I see it. I tend to think its more likely a piggybacked test drone, UCAV, or engine testbed.

Anything is possible I guess.

As others have said though, it only ever seems to be the easily identifiable 'UFO' photos recently that are being pushed by the media.

Their way of saying 'well if this is the best those nuts have got, they really must be crazy'.

I'm not going to profess or categorically state anything relating to the nature of the object in the pic. But I would like to ask this to those who seem adamant about what the object is in the pic: can you please tell me whether, in your opinion, the object is foreground or background?
