Seeker by my understanding, Jakomo was just telling you that it wasn't written by Al Jazzeera, but carried by them and written by someone else. The Phd. part of his name is just a formality. I suppose if the writer had Lt. Col. or something you would feel different?

I just feel that you are being opportunistic here to bolster your opposition.

As such, again, I addressed my reasoning with my second post.
You and Jakomo can argue this as you like, it still does not change my stance on AlJazeera, nor what I mentioned to Jak. Your opinion, as with Jak's, is noted.

Thanks for the welcome, though I've been here a while now. Im not arguing, I tried that early on here and on other forums but keep coming back to the fact that it is futile. Just stating things as I see them with as much diplomacy as I can.

Someone stated that no news source is saved from bias. I believe this to be true. But I tend to appreciate seeing bias from all sides and formulating an opinion from the battlegrounds in the middle.

Therefore being dismissive of any view point based on it's carrier tends to cheapen the opinion to me. That's all.

Edit: I should add than any posts that include "Nuke em all" tend to erode any attempts at diplomacy on my part.

Wait...wasn't aljazeera (sp?) the one who kept showing the report from that crazy Iraqi military commander, or whatever he was, that was saying the US was being beaten and that they were being thrown from Baghdag when the US had already taken it?

This dude kept appearing in the news media in Baghdag saying that it had not been taken by the US, that we were defeated and running for the hills. Well...up to the point when he was captured by US forces, then he went on to say he just did it because he was ordered. Anyone remembers this?

I can't remember for sure, but I think it was Aljazeera.

cool cargo, nice approach. Did you read the article in the original post? It was taking some historical facts and than coming to conclusions about their meaning that were not based in reality. No respectable news source would ever carry a story like under the context that it was true no matter who wrote it.

I was specifically commenting that Jakamo including Phd. wasn't necessarily an attempt to add credibility to the article written. The way I see it.

But seeing as you asked, yes I read it. And I never said I agreed with it. As I pointed out, there is truth and fiction to be garnered from all biased sources. Its up to you to decide the validity.

We didn't??? You need to do a little research on our history with the middle east. They wouldn't have anything to do with us at all, if we hadn't #ed with them constantly, in one way or another. It's been going on for a long time now. About 70 years, or so, if not longer.

No you didn't. You second post has no "reasoning" as to why you were dismissive of Aljazeera you just went nuts about the Phd.

Try to be accurate about what you claim to have said.
