www.cnn.com...

Stories like this is why I get so pissed with the immigration issue. We have legitimate aliens here for political asylum from a bloody civil war and we are ready to kick them out. Imagine if we tried kicking out 14,000 illegal aliens from Mexico at once. Hell would rain down on the US media for being racist, bigoted, and just plain ignorant.

The fact is the US has been and always should be the country that welcomes aliens of all countries in situations of political and religious persecution. But we never said we would always welcome all of the worlds poor with open arms.

We have an estimated 10 - 15 million illegal alliens from Central and South America living in our country why kick out the 3,600 Liberians?

Can someone explain this to me?

Liberia is a utopia again, so it's time to go back. Just because we can't round up everyone and kick them out, doesn't mean we shouldn't send some home. Those with temporary Visas are easier to catch, as we generally have their addresses. I also read an article last week concerning the growing fraud, as far as Liberians bringing their families over.

The civil war in Liberia is over, it's time for these people to go home. They are a drain on our economy. Many of these people work hard, (it's true, they are good people that work hard) and send the money back to Liberia and out of our economy thereby weakening our economy and strengthening Liberia's.

The war is over, it's time for them to return home or become citizens.

I think they should have a chance to become full US citizens. If they don't want to for some reason become US citizens it's then time for them to return home.

As for Illegal Aliens from Mexico? I think that they should be rounded up en masse and returned to Mexico immediately. I think that anyone caught crossing the border from Mexico illegally should be shot on sight. I think our country needs to consider it an act of war whenever someone invades this country illegally, it's tantamount to terrorism.

I also think it should be easier for people from Mexico to enter this country legally to work. I think that is part and parcel to the immigration problem in this country. These people are being basically sold into slavery in this country by corporations that prey on their illegal status and pay them pennies on the dollar with the constant threat of deportation.

Come to this country legally or get out. I welcome people from all over the world who come to this country legally to better themselves. That is what makes this country great. The great melting pot as it were. But the problem is people that come to this country illegally and work under the table destablizing our already shaky economy and send the money back home instead of building a life for themselves in this country and adding to the community they live in.

Everybody in this country came from somewhere. And for some people to think that they have more rights to America than others, do not know the history of America which they claimed to love so dearly. Where are original owners of America, the Indian? The Spanish? Go and read your History.
