Hello,everyone.I'm a Chinese student.What I just want to say is all the soldiers of our country are our brothers and sisters.If they were harmed by enemies,all Chinese people would help to fight against the enemies.

We cannot even control a few despots in the Iraq and to think we can take on a more orginized and disciplined military. Maybe we will just pull out and hope for the best....

This right here shows that you have no concept of military battle fields and cannot differentiate between the type of war in Iraq and the type of war we would fight with china. Nor do you have any clue as to what we are trying to accomplish in Iraq and what we would want to accomplish in a war with china. Please next time educate yourself before you talk.

in the earlier days no chinese had a country to back. choices were china(taiwan) or china mainland... chinese mainland was to primtive and china/taiwan was just a island... now china is expericing very fast economic growth these chinese know which one to back...

We chinese just have to wait..keep doing what were doing and chinese world domiance is guaranteed...Just keep our head down and let our economic power do the talking

largest trading partner.. and have good cultural links

There is a large difference between saying something and prooving something.

From what I can find, read and the tests which have been done on such systems they seem to be doing fairly well with their anti-aircraft and missile defence system. Especially with what they'll be buying from the Russian's. After all 2012 and the S-500 are just around the corner. Which will have the range to fly over Taiwan and pick up targets the other-side of it.

anyhow. how many carriers going to come in the war.

China has one of the best anti-aircraft defence systems in the world. USA fighters would be shot down faster then Redknecks can say KKK. However China has no intention of fighting the US. Their plan is to build up bit by bit and slowly take over US markets. As chinawhite stated before Chinese domination of the world is garunteed. Already China has been buying US companies and theres nothing the US can do about it. Just recently I think if anyone else has heard China has bought one of the US' oldest oil companies.

2 million standing army verses USA 500 000 standing army
over 20 million reserves over 1 million reserves

I don't know it would be close. In 10 years though China would definetly win. It's funny seeing US fanatics say no no no we will still be the biggest power, even though signs of the US breakdown are being seen today.

Like.....one of the highest unemployment rates in the world, only industrialised country to not have basic healthcare and insurance for all, highest crime rate of any industrialised country, highest depression and suicide rates, thousands of mexicans and hispanics flocking over the border and drowning the economy.

wow you know where most of the grain that china eats comes from? take a wild guess then think about what that means in the big picture.
