I place this in "Survival" because really my book, a fun and easy read (no dry toast!), is about the survival of the Human race...

But it goes further than mere survival.

I used the framework of a fictional tale describing how we could go from the scarcity we have been forced into to abundance.

In this short book (1.5 to 4 hours of reading, depending on how fast the reader is) I offer several things:

I suggest how we could use "bailout" money to free us of money altogether...

I explain that the Universe has plenty to go around several times over but that it is presently VERY badly managed...

I point out that we are at a unique point in the history we have in that we now have what it would take to cast off slavery to machines - all jobs no one WANTS to do can be given to machines...

I now offer this book gratis to any and all who want to read it. Though money would be VERY nice in my life right now, I would rather usher in abundance and not have to worry about money.

And so, I offer it to all here:

files.abovetopsecret.com...

I request that all who read it come back here and offer comments about it. I would love to discuss the content of the story here on ATS.

And many and sincere thanks to all of you who do read what I have written.

Every so often, there comes a literary piece which is truly astounding. A piece which stirs the imagination at its deepest levels and leaves the readers thoughts in a whirlwind. This, my fellow ATSers and whomever else is reading this review, is that piece of literary splendor. What the author has brought to the table, is a World beyond ours, yet simultaneously within our grasp. A World that creates Hope in the truest meaning of the word. This story is, simply put, a masterful work of fiction, that may well one day be non-fiction.

Those reading this may think this is a grand statement to make, yet i assure you, the very essence of this story is Revolutionary. The idea related within is thought provoking to be sure, yet it is so much more. The potential that lies within is Society Changing to say the least.

We are introduced to this world by Infamous Isadore Illumente, a talented artist and enjoyer of life. As we follow her through the world of abundance, we come to realize she is not the main character, though she plays a big part in introducing us.

The main character is the Message, and what a wonderful Message it is. Simplistic in nature, it presents the reader with the premise that our World truly is big enough for all of us, and with the proper steps taken, could be more than just Earth, it could be Heaven on Earth.

A Message that utilizes Humankinds greatest asset, our goodwill towards each other, and visualizes it on a global scale. A testament to what Humanity can achieve if only an attempt is made.

Vivid imagery imparts upon us a reality where lifes ambitions are readily pursued, where any destination is a step away. Treks through exotic locales are the everyday norm, and life is a pleasure, rather than a burden. Where gourmet cuisine is available at the touch of a button, and helper robots scurry about doing the bidding of Humans who are readily enjoying life as it should be. In Abundance.

My suggestion, read the book. In the immortal words of Lavar Burton, " Don't take my word for it..."

Surely this is a severe violation of T&C.

I don't even need to have access to the servers of this site to tell that this is a shameless plug of a literary piece. I haven't read it, nor will I. If this thread isn't removed and the OP docked a SERIOUS amount of his/her points, I may quit posting here.

I'm excited to read this. I don't understand how this is a violation of T&C Jay. I've read alot of Amaretasu's posts and they are very well thought out, are you claiming pledgerism?

Either way, I respect her and her work and look foward to reading this!

Eh, maybe it is just too late in the evening. When I read the first two posts of this thread, it SCREAMED to me of someone who has two names who created the second to plug his/her own work.
Not requiring money for the book, mind you, but asking for contributions.

I may be way off base here, but that is shameless.

Well to be quite frank with you, how is this a violation of T&C..? If the piece was written by the OP then it matters not at least to my knowledge of the intricacies here.

I beg to differ this would constitute post-banning and whatnot. It's not like the link itself says "click here and you can buy my new book" or something. However, it is possible that it could be in the wrong forum here but I won't pass judgement until I check it out fully for myself.

[oh, and well nevermind... I haven't got that far yet]
[and hadn't seen the donation thingy]

Oh well, I'll still read it.

Cheers,
T-

Nice edit there, and no... I'm not affiliated with the OP, nor am I her. Truth be told, I am a guy. I do appreciate you pointing the donation thing out though... not trying to be sarcastic.

[oops, ATS time seems to be moving too fast here for me in t minus time, I didn't realize that you were obviously not referring to me... meh.]

Carry on,

Jay,
indeed, the writing style does seem similar.

I'm not so sure this is a T&C violation. I mean, the pdf seems to be hosted by ATS, but I haven't ever really done anything like that so I really don't know what that could mean. The worst thing I could find would be the Amaterasu would have to pay 2.00 per page view or something.

Either way, my respect always goes out to creative endeavors of any kind and I'll try and find time to squeeze this read in when I can.

I just dont understand the 'problem' some of you are having here.

The OP hosts a PDF on ATS.....makes it available for everyone for free, and makes a thread pointing out the work and gives a brief synopsis....

WHATS so wrong with that??

Your extreme objection screams of petty jealousy to me.......you probably wanted to do something similar, and she beat you to the punch, so now you won't look as 'original' as you had hoped...... so you rant about banning her,get over yourself.
Tearing down others does NOT make you look more awesome than them.

I am reading it as I like the premise.....and so far its VERY good! ATS sure has some great minds as members

This is a wonderful book that almost made me cry when I read it, showing us the difference between the world we accept with its limits, and scarcity built in by the slave masters, and the world we could create with pure intent and equality, where everyone could live their bliss in the open source model. She is doing an amazing thing and trying to change the world with her gift of this writing. And its wonderful.

I never mentioned "banning" anything. This is the second time I have seen this in this thread already. No, I don't think this is an offense that warrants a ban, just a slap on the wrist.

I'm sure the book is good. The problem comes in asking for donations, and then having the follow-up post coming from a newbie giving a MORE THAN GENEROUS review of the OP.
Good lord, I guess I will take my cynicism elsewhere!

And before I go, yes you were starting to argue against a position I didn't oppose.
"Nice edit there.".. Geeze dude, the thread had just begun.

I didn't see where the OP asked for donations.

The OP said money would be nice in their life right now, but wanted to allow readers access to the book for free.

I think people may be reading into "Money would be nice in my life right now" as to mean "Donate", but it's not the same.

Just skimmed through some of the book. I love what I'm reading so far...and yes, I agree with the supposition and theory of what you speak. I have thought the same thing. I cannot make a full conclusion about it just yet, as I have not read the entire book...as yet. I will get around to that.

But yes...you do geta S&F from me! Excellent effort! Excellent work!

Howdy Survival

The same way I can tell you joined on 12/10/08. The second poster joined 2/1/09. Its written by your avatar

Oh and I did look at the book, wonderfully impartical, lovely in being non-functional and suited well for a species other than Homo Sapien Sapien.

I recommend you set up a commune and see how well it works.

Love your name Amaterasu, but what of the spear?
