That really isn't an accurate statement. I don't know any Christians with this attitude. We cannot be saved by good works anyway, we can only be
saved through faith and grace.
Titus 3:5-6
he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy
Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,

Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
Salvation is a gift from God not something to be earned or given as a reward for good works. We do good works because we are saved, not the other way
around.
