The following articles are actually pretty interesting regarding Obama's plan to seek and release UFO files as well as perhaps technologies hidden from the American public. Granted with everything going on in the world and country today this isn't top priority...but you won't find this on Fox News, CNN, or MSNBC and if it is- its not bein' presented seriously.

Article here

We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked up in black projects and it would take an act of God to ever get them out to benefit humanity... anything you can imagine we already know how to do.

Article from quote

A number of senior officials in the Obama administration were deeply involved in Clinton administration efforts to disclose files concerning UFOs. If President Obama’s January 21 Memoranda are fully implemented, FOIA requests will allow much information about UFOs to emerge. This will give important clues to where the bulk of the nation’s UFO files are kept. That is when the Obama administration will run up against powerful corporate interests claiming proprietary control of UFO information and advanced extraterrestrial technology. The Obama administration will ultimately need to confront corporate interests that house UFO files, and controlled UFO policy since the Nixon Administration.

article here

President Obama’s first Memoranda are steps in the right direction of more open and accountable government. As far as X-Files relocated into corporations as trade secrets are concerned, his Memoranda will have no effect. What is necessary is a Presidential Executive Order requiring all government and military files transferred into corporate hands be fully accounted for and returned back into government hands. Principles of Open Government and Transparency can then be used in tandem with legitimate national security concerns for the release of the ‘real’ X-Files into the public arena.

Interesting stuff indeed...hopefully, all of us will get to see these technologies at some point in our lifetime. This is something that would essentially change life as we know it.

I see no evidence of that whatsoever in these articles, and trust me I've read a bunch, as there always seems to be a new one (curiously enough always posted on examiner.com) every day.

All I see is speculation and wishful thinking by the authors of these articles, but I see no evidence of "Obama's plan to seek and release UFO files".

I don't dismiss the possibility that Obama might be interested in UFOs, and is or will disclose any information, but as of now, there is no evidence of this.

His new (more lax) guidelines and mentality regarding FOIA requests is undoubtedly a step in the right direction, but this doesn't apply to UFOs or UFO related information only.

In sum, I don't see any evidence of a publicly visible wish, much less a plan, by Obama to specifically disclose UFO information.

"President Obama’s January 21 Memoranda to promote Open Government and strengthen the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) are intended to release unnecessarily classified national security files. Among the many millions of classified files to ultimately be released, some will concern UFOs and extraterrestrial life. From these releases, UFO enthusiasts and exopolitical researchers hope to find clues into how government policy has been developed. More importantly, FOIA releases will point to where the bulk of the nation’s UFO files are located. That’s when the Obama administration will run up against corporate control of UFO files and policy."

both quotes from articles above....

Therefore like it or not he will come across these files and will release them to the public at some point after he comes across them. He's not actively perusing them but he'll find them. I've also included technology in there as well- technology was the major factor for this piece but the ufo portion goes in there at some point.

the reason it would take an act of god to bring out these technologies.......$$$$$$$.

Everything in our society revolves around money. Take away the need for fossil fuels for example, it would have a huge global economic consequences.

The author is making the assumption that there are UFO files "unnecessarily classified" to be released. There have been many many UFO documents already released by FOIA.

Granted that many of them are practically useless since most of it's blacked or whited out, or don't even have any relevant information. But who's to say that what is blacked out wasn't because of "national security"? And who's to say that they were "unnecessarily classified"?

"What is necessary is a Presidential Executive Order requiring all government and military files transferred into corporate hands be fully accounted for and returned back into government hands."

Another assumption... and I'm one to believe that information (and even technology) is being kept by corporations and not the Government, but there is no evidence of that.

And taking into consideration the likelihood of a cover-up - hence the transfer of these things out of Government hands - the probability that such documents, detailing what and where things were transferred, even existing is...? Basically none.

Therefore like it or not he will come across these files and will release them to the public at some point after he comes across them. He's not actively perusing them but he'll find them.

There are certain things that even if you have access to, you won't know unless you have need to know. And certainly this must be the case with UFOs or alien visitation.

But if Obama is not "actively pursuing them" he won't find them, and that has nothing to do with FOIA.

Well S+F for you! Yeah I was waiting for this, and its cool. But I dont think its going to be as wide ranging as folk think. Not yet.
What Obama needs to do , if he wants this stuff out in the open, is outlaw secrecy . He needs to make it a treasonable offence to keep information from the public.
That would be brilliant. I dont just mean UFO stuff, I mean government run programs involving new science, clean energy, lightbulbs that NEVER go out or die (like the intelligence services have had access to for over thirty years), also needs to cover everyone from defence contractors, to road sweepers. See what the suits say to that!

I dont think it will happen the way we want it to.

They will release the reports etc and say the govt have no secret projects etc so as to apease the public and to try & put off their search for more information imo.

Welcome to ATS
I hope your stay will be pleasant.

Again some of us are trying to break down the barriers of secrecy and are willing to attempt it through various means and not just sit on the sidelines wishing or complaining and picking others efforts apart.

I assume you are american Slayer?

And you voted for Obama for what reason?

I think he is probably gonna make a great president but lets face it he will have to make compromises he won't want to make, he will decide to cover up information to protect the presidency (and america) and he probably doesnt have the power to give you the "full disclosure" you would like to hear.

Just a thought but lets say that he has the authority and discloses everything that the USA knows about UFOS.

Will you believe him or will you think its disinformation?

P.S. I really like your mind/thoughts/ideas and have added you as a freind/adversary, i know we don't agree on many things but I like the way you make me question what I know/think. I am reading through some of your and bobs old threads and whileI don't agree with you they are food for thought and I enjoy challenging them.

If the technology and information is being kept by 'corporate 'vaults and businesses for the sole purpose of keeping it for themselves and the benefit of the elites that run them, and If Obama cannot get the information released via FOIA then he should tell us which companies own the rights to the information that we we the public can boycott said companies and get them where it really hurts, In their pockets.

Trouble is though we will never know which companies as the information is to too well hidden and we won't all join together to boycott, we'll all just leave it up to someone else to do the boycotting.

Carter was all set to do it too...but he quickly changed his mind.
I wouldn't hold my breath. Assuming the secret truly has been kept for over 60 years, I'd imagine there are good reasons for doing so, and Obama will (if he's ever even briefed on it), likely agree with those reasons.

Doesn't mean we can't still push or investigate on our own, but don't stay up waiting for them to tell us all about it....

Obama will not be read in on these UFO topics NOR will our new DCI nominee.

Masters of change will be snub-nosed and excluded and ultimately someone will have some dirt to hold over their heads if it goes that far.

Clinton was scared off of that trek and so to will Obama.

No executive order or freedom of information act will dislodge any pertinent information regarding UFOs...it hasn't happened so far with any previous president (Kennedy, Carter or Clinton).

Even presidents aren't included in the need to know club and haven't been, I think, since Nixon, the last president supposedly briefed in measure on the UFO subject. There is even a conspiracy theory that Kennedy was assasinated because of his efforts to divulge information to the public and the Cuban missile crisis was ordered up as a distraction.

Maybe the reverse engineered technology has been trickled out over the decades, but, actual disclosure is a card that will not be revealed anytime soon (unless an undeniable mass sighting forces the issue). World economies are in a bad recession, introducing more chaos into that equation wouldn't benefit anyone: mass panic, civil wars over natural resources, etc.

Any disclosure would be heavily sanitized for mass consumption anyway. The public can't know the breadth of the 60+ year coverup involving untold amounts of lies and deaths.

Well look at it this way ... Nows the perfect time for truth. We are in the doo doo up to our collective necks, financialy speaking, power bases are changing , and the people are now all fully aware that liers are a occupational hazzard in the human race. Even the most blinkered person cannot belive in this day and age, that the government has the interests of its people at heart.
In this climate I think it might be a good idea to let the truth out now, rather than waiting for stability, we might as well get all the chaos out the way at once.
