I've been having a read around this forum and thought this all sounds very familiar, in fact I saw the movie about 20 years ago.

Here's the trailer on youtube.

ahh yea i remember reading about that movie in another forum. It is really amazing how they got it right, everything in the movie was basically a mirror of our society today!

you can usually find it on google video, or ovguide.com

"i'm here to chew bubble gum and kick ass....n i'm all outta bubble gum."

Whoa, they've even got the aliens in there! Unfortunately, I'm going to have to wait until I get home to watch the movie if it's anywhere on the internet.

Just looking at the trailer is pretty heavy. "Obey!". Reminds me of the today, cops standing there... well, it's more like "Obey, or die!", but whatever.

I loved this movie, I was just a little kid and it freaked me out. The man that turns around and have a glowing face gave me nightterrors for weeks.

Remake someone?

Yes, I liked the movie when it first came out. I really like it now, as my eyes have been opened up to how real the movie relates to how the way things really are in this country, at least as far as the control the system has on people nowadays, despite the trappings of Constitutionalism. It should be required viewing for everyone here at ATS/BTS.

Why watch it on cruddy youtube when you can get it on DVD in widescreen format. Amazon or ebay.
