In January 2001, the Poe Toater left a note at Poe's grave that said:
"The New York Giants. Darkness and decay and the big blue hold dominion over all. The Baltimore Ravens. A thousand injuries they will suffer. Edgar
Allan Poe evermore."
Most think this was a reference to the Superbowl that year - Giants vs. Ravens. But what if it was hinting at the events of 9/11?
New York Giants = WTC
Baltimore Ravens = Planes
Darkness and Decay = Oil prices
Big Blue = Great (Big) Depression (Blue) - A foretelling of the recession we're experiencing
In addition to this, the note that was left in 1993 said: "The torch will be passed." The first bombing of the WTC was in 1993.
But I still can't tell how the 2003 note is connected. It read:
"The sacred memory of Poe and his final resting place is no place for French cognac. With great reluctance but for respect for family tradition the
cognac is placed. The memory of Poe shall live evermore!"
Any ideas?
