I'm wondering what personality type (according to the Myers-Briggs type indicator) is the most numerous in the ATS-community.

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is the most commonly used personality test in the world. It was developed in order to provide a practical application of Carl Jung's theories on personality.

You you can take a free-personality test here:
www.humanmetrics.com...

And here's a more in depth description of your type: www.personalitypage.com...

I'd like you to post your results and tell if it fits you or not..

That's amazing. INTP.

That's me. Architect.

Never been reduced to a description before, but that pretty well sums me up.

Thanks.

yeah, it happened to me too. Btw- the "strenght of preferences" need to be taken into account, for example, we both got 11% on introverted and it says: "you slightly expressed introvert" ...

I don't remember the exact numbers I get, but I'm an INTP.

Very strongly expressed Introvert, strongly expressed intuitive, very slightly expressed thinking and perceiving.

There was another thread about Myers-Brigg personalities on ATS a couple months ago, and one thing that I thought was really interesting was how prevalent the Intuitive category is on ATS compared to the Internet as a whole and to the population average.

I've got to sign off right now, but I'll try to remember to search for the thread and the links tomorrow. In the meantime, I'd recommend keeping an eye out for that trend

EDIT because I forgot to say that yes, it does describe me pretty well.

INFP - The "Dreamer"

INFPs are introspective, private, creative and highly idealistic individuals that have a constant desire to be on a meaningful path. They are driven by their values and seek peace. Empathetic and compassionate, they want to help others and humanity as a whole. INFPs are imaginitive, artistic and often have a talent for language and writing. They can also be described as easygoing, selfless, guarded, adaptable, patient and loyal.

I was classified as INTJ, "The Scientist". I agree with most of it, but I have never really considered myself introverted. I am actually very outgoing with people I am comfortable around.

Oh crap.
I think they need to give us an IQ test first so the test is understood for your level of ignorance....I mean aptitude

ISTP: mechanic? I won't even bother to list the % that's too embarrassing.

I also checked the things I'm supposed to like and it doesn't fit. None of the types I checked and read really fit with me anyway.

mine was:

Your Type is
INTP
Introverted Intuitive Thinking Perceiving
Strength of the preferences %
33 12 25 22

Logical, original, creative thinkers. Can become very excited about theories and ideas. Exceptionally capable and driven to turn theories into clear understandings. Highly value knowledge, competence and logic. Quiet and reserved, hard to get to know well. Individualistic, having no interest in leading or following others.

I'm listed as an Rational Architect Personality

This seems to follow suit of the way I am. I don't see leaders and followers, I just each one of us as individuals. I have a way of knowing a little about a lot of things, and master of nothing. Go figure.
