When I first started to put rational thought into beings from other planets visiting Earth I used math to convince myself. The Math I am sure most of you are aware of is the Drake Equation.

en.wikipedia.org...

My favorite part of using math to determine the probability of life developing in this universe is the factor of time. Time is the greatest factor in a formula of this type. When the idea of a technological snowball is added , to think that within a period of time as small as 100 years humanity has developed the use of nuclear energy, flight, space exploration, computers, solar cells, making plans to visit a planet other than our own. This is all within 100 years!

I can only imagine what we can accomplish in 1000 more years or 100,000 years or 1 million years or 100 million or 500 million years. The idea of what can be accomplished or discovered is incomprehensible.

Now I am confident that the majority of people who visit this website have belief that life exists in this Universe in places other than Earth. The question remains how many years previous to our own point in time did any of these lifeforms become self aware and develop civilization and technology? Is it possible that as long ago as a Billion years ago it happened? 2 Billion? 3 Billion years ago? How far out throughout a galaxy could a civilization travel, explore, reproduce. Is inter-galactic travel a possibility with a few billion years of a technological head start? Any betting person would favor those odds.

Once I convinced myself that mathematically alien life is a 99.9999999 percent probability I had to ask myself why the HELL would anyone want to cover up the disclosure of knowledge of alien life? What could POSSIBILITY be the harm in sharing this information with the entire world? Would something like this not inspire a (hopefully) era of worldwide peace and prosperity for humanity? Being under the banner of one planet in a sea of planets instead of one country in a sea of countries? Well I found my answer to that question as well after doing some research. This is one of my favorite websites.

www.presidentialufo.com...

This link has a list of reasons that disclosure of knowledge of alien life would be against the best interests of those in power. I will copy a few of them down. The website has a semi in depth explanation of the reasons. I strongly suggest you visit the site.

1) Complexity
2) National Security
3) Don't know what to do
4) Fear
5) In house secrecy
6) Aliens are covering it up
7) Alien Masters
8) Government Gridlock
9) Population resistance
10) People do not care
11) Past statements
12) Collapse of belief systems
13) Fear of death
14) Old style conservatives
15) Weapons development
16) Lead time
17) Reverse engineering
18) Need to know
19) Kick backs
20) Loss of power
21) Dependence on oil
22) Short sightedness
23) Nationalism
24) Government Black operations
25) Abductions
26) Mutilations
27) Viruses
28) Waived special access
29) Buying time
30) Building a defense system
31) We are being studied
32) Lobby groups
33) Money
34) Alien threat
35) Apprehension of invasion
36) Secrecy
37) Religious fallout
38) Evolution
39) Dark inner secrets
40) Who's in charge?
41) Too advanced to communicate
42) Status Que
43) Psi warfare
44) Loss of agenda
45) President as goat
and many more that are listed on the website like missing pilots, stock market crash, and many others.

In addition to this large list I am sure you can come up with many other ideas that someone in a high power seat in government would consider as a reason to NOT disclose. it would seem to be a simple less than greater than math problem as in the Cons FAR outweigh the Pros of disclosing this knowledge to the population of sheep.

Perhaps it is revealed that we are a very closely monitored alien experiment and after a while they just hit the reset button, alter all of our DNA, effectively creating the next generation of humans and study them until they have learned whatever, rinse and repeat.

couldnt have said it better my self..I have always pondered this..We have ant farms,so why shouldnt aliens have a people farm..

My theory (and more or less worst case scenario):

Several or many governments have agreements with aliens that allow the aliens to kidnap and experiment on humans in return for technology or assistance, and perhaps also to take, kill, eat?, and/or experiment on livestock and animals.

The technology they have received in return either wasn't worth it, or is something along the lines of "free energy" which should have been released to the public but hasn't been.

Therefore, full disclosure would reveal that governments, politicians, and a bunch of governmental agencies and/or militaries are complicit in crimes against humanity and responsible for the torture, experimentation without consent, and possibly deaths of hundreds or thousands of human beings and animals, as well as withholding technology that could have changed our lives, ended global warming, eliminated our dependence on fossil fuels, and/or eliminated many human diseases, eased poverty and improved living conditions for the "third world," and so on ...

"They" think that this knowledge would inevitably lead to revolt, revolution, civil war, and criminal charges and/or punishment and execution for most of "them." Not to mention, the revelation that our "leaders" and the military who were/are supposed to be protecting us have instead been complicit in harming us might collapse society, governments, and even civilization as a whole by the time it's all said and done.

In simpler terms, they won't tell us because they know that what they've been doing would make us all - or most of us at least - really, really, really angry - angry enough to do something about it.

Maybe the governments or PTB of this planet like having us all enslaved and doing their bidding. They know that Disclosure would free us from their hold on us. They want to stay superior in their own minds and not lowered to being just One Of Us. Think of the repercussions once we found out what they have been doing to us for centuries.

This is no stranger belief than anything else posted. LOL

I agree that it proof positive of extraterristrial life would be very damaging to the human ego. At least for a little while til we find some excuse to declare ourselves better than "them".
We do after all enjoy thinking that we are "all that and a bag of chips" after all.

Any new ideas out there guys and gals? How about the reasons for using Cointelpro? You thin that the powers that be deny it so much because they are scared to admit they dont fully understand or have the ability to control these sips that can invade our airspace at any given moment without fear of us attacking and there is nothing they can do to stop it???

I'd just like to add that one huge reason for non-disclosure is that if a lot of UFO activity has to do with time travelers from the future or possible alternate realities, it probably wouldn't be good to spread that kind of information around, since it could severely alter or damage the future in ways that would be very, very bad for large chunks of humanity. Nazis developing atomic weapons bad, for instance.

Just an idea. Personally, I think "disclosure" is a myth. The only disclosure most people would accept is whatever fits their preconceived beliefs, and anything else would just be dismissed as lies or half-truths.

It could be a myth in that it will never happen because there is nothing to disclose or a myth in the sense that it will just never happen. I personally believe after space travel is privatized and we start going up into space they will have to tell us something cause they will have to explain the sightings that will happen... and swamp gas wont cut it in outer space.

Of course this is all theories and ideas but, I actually think that sometime within the next 10 years or so it might be disclosed to the public that aliens do in fact exist, but theirs a catch.

The government has been collecting specimens, parts from crashes, researching and withholding information on aliens and alien technology for years. Yet theirs been tons of alien movies, video games, and everything else all long the way and I don't think that's an accident.

I don't think people would panic now, if they were to find out there is aliens. Everyone is so desensitized and caught up with every day bs that it likely wouldn't matter or impact most people.

So what's the catch? I think when they do disclose it that they are going to bring it out as aliens are hostile to get everybody on board with the idea that we need to go into intergalactic war with them.

Has anyone seen any of those disclosure project videos on you tube? It explains it very well. If you were to believe the people in the video, then apparently the human race is in a treaty with alien life not to attack each other or something, and apparently some of the top secret military ARE in fact attacking alien life and intent on weaponizing space which can potentially lead to a war that can destroy our whole species.

If you haven't watched those videos, you should. Lot's of info.

Just bumping this to see if anyone has a fresh perspective on this topic. Disclosure is a subject close to my heart though I feel like a whistleblower will be the closest thing in any foreseeable future.

Even assuming for a moment that aliens had 'created' us, that doesn't mean there is no god, does it? I don't believe in god but I don't think one thing negates the other.

We are currently doing a lot of genetic experimentation and we've been already able to clone animals, I'm sure it would be just a matter of time before we create life in a lab. Would that mean there was no god?

Assuming aliens are highly advanced beings capable of traveling the Universe rapidly, doesn't mean they know more about god than we do.

Great post, this brings me to another touchy subject...

What defines God? or perhaps a simpler way to put it, God Like.

To an ant I would seem to wield God like power and hence be god, or a god. Does that make the ants wrong? I think not. Its a matter of perspective. If an alien race made us they would in essence be our God... Simply and obviously put the being that was there at the creation of time would be the definitive God Almighty.

You've given a valid question there, basically it should be like that: Would it kill them to tell what is going on? If it is to hide their secret aircraft, does allowing the idea of aliens stop people from thinking what they are hiding anyway? it does not, what's so frightening that so much is kept secret, national security ? ... not

OH WAIT, economy is based on the current order, someone has interests in keeping things like that, someone else has interests and even $$$ in keeping religion

So when they depopulate the world this century, it will become clear for the survivors. K.

I hate the fact that something as crude as money drives all major decisions, deceptions and halve truths doled out to the masses in our current power structure. Wrather primitive for such an expedited scientificly evolved race. me wants to cry.

Undo, ive always enjoyed your incites for 5 or so years. that said, the we are the aliens is an very interesting hypothesis. in the grand scheme of life forms that have inhabited this planet over the last 400 million + years the dinosaurs roamed for a huge amount of that time and over just 10000 years of that humans popped up and evolved into us? thats just mind boggling unless we are aliens or were helped along by aliens with genetic manipulation etc... so it only makes sense that we are the aliens by way of our expidited evolution. it would appear to be the only logical explination as to how we came to be our current selves in such short period of time. you know? what u think undo?

Countless aeons ago, a bitter war raged among the stars, and one group nearly enslaved or destroyed countless civilizations in their mad lust for godly power. This group was finally put down, by a united front of 999 alien races, who bound the life energy of the destroyers to an obscure rock, and clouded their racial memory so that they would never again know their true power.

But their hunger grew, and their mad lust to control and destroy spread again, throughout their new world. This prison soon threatened to burst and release its cargo; the most hated, and feared monsters in the universe; the human race. So the watchers came, at first to judge whether the ancient evil was still contained, and then -- to judge the level of our threat.

We are the prisoners, and the secret protected by those who know the tale is this: If a critical mass of humans awakens to their demonic origins, a fleet of the 999 will -- against the laws of creation -- move to strike us down completely before we escape our bonds and again, wreck havoc upon the rest of the universe.

It isn't even a matter of choice. Simply knowing the truth free's our karma to rise again as one -- we eaters of the light -- to conquer the 'verse and plunge it into eternal darkness.

I have always liked the thought of what I call the Star Trek or Galactic Federation of multiple Alien races that work together traversing the universe in search of intelligent civilizations and recruiting them into their Galactic Federation of benevolent, evolved, highly intelligent being's.

I would venture to guess that they only induct scientific sentient civilizations that have reached the precipice of self destruction and survived it by learning from past mistakes and understanding that we can only survive as the human race for thousands of more years by securing humanities long term safety and becoming a one god, one world government. Then I imagine we would be welcomed into the Galactic Federation or whatever it might be called. It would only make sense that we meet the afore mentioned criteria for induction because why would they allow us membership if we still had multiple governments, and religions, hence causing massive infighting over which ts the definitive God that created time, space & all life in the universe as we know it at the very beginning when there was nothingness. When & if we are given that opportunity as a species I feel that to be the ultimate leap forward in our evolution. The point in which we inherit our destiny and return to that which we came... The Stars.

Then we can join the Universal search for developing civilizations amongst the cosmos, and help assist in there progression as a species once its determined that they're ready for intervention from a higher power that would benefit their progression & scientific evolution. I believe this to be our ultimate destiny as a species. Its encoded in our DNA, IMHO, to return to the stars and I believe it to be the greatest contribution we as a species can give back to the universe which has given us so much, IMHO.

More transmissions will be forthcoming...

Though I think the answer to the thread's question is: 'You will find the hard way, what's so devastating!' As some said (I do not remeber who) - reality would be too hard to handle and you wouldn't be able to sleep when you learn about it.

Though, really, what's so frightening, something those who read conspiracies don't know already?

- Depopulation through disasters, made to look natural?
- Evil reptilians who feed with humans as well, all the Castello stories, Alien Invasion?
- destruction of the Earth from a Deathstar and made to look like natural disasters?
- simply knowing that humans may not be the first intelligent species on Earth i.e Ancient Aliens?
- there may be other dimensions?
- the humans can be mind controlled with a device, or their organism will fail at some point in the future?
- there is indeed an energy matrix that we call soul and someone will feed with that energy?

Tell us something we don't know! In reality any of these would be frightening but thanks to movies with gawd knows what themes, people are prepared. Oh wait, believers or skeptics, all who've read these stories are prepared.

Idk about you but I would accept any of that normally since it's already listed and discussed, the ones that will go crazy if they learnt are all who have never been into conspiracies and have always laughed at all of these.

I think the alien agenda was waiting for the right time and the right kind of sign before knowing which route to take. I've felt like i've been watched by scientists for quite some time now. When i was growing up at the beginning i remember watching movies that dealt with an alien being having to adapt to a new world and its people. strangest movie i remember watching as a kid growing up. mother and father divorced when i was two, which i read was the prime Mk ultra age. Something evil on this planet tried to kill my mother and i wanted to know what, the same thing has been hiding in the shadows trying to do the same to me. If something tried to kill your mother wouldn't you try to figure out what? I think they are here to find god too! If they are advanced replicas of us, then they by far have way better mental powers than us. I can only premonition things a little bit into the future, imagine what they can see! Since we can transmit thoughts telepathically, then i'm thinking there are some evil aliens that have been tormenting poor people minds that are too weak to have understanding that outside force can influence our minds. I'm 35, i've been studying this # ever since one of the dreams i had as a kid pre-motioned something that came true the next day. You'd have to be crazy to turn an eye from this science! I noticed that when i think about calling a friend long distance and i do, they pick up the phone and say,"I was just thinking about you , dude!" Actually, it was me thinking about you, that was the reason you were thinking about me! you all have so much to learn...

Maybe us, the Earth and everything is a historical holographic recording of the late, great earth.. Maybe that would explain why answers are limited, there is no such thing as a new idea, and everything is irreducibly complex.. We are nothing but a simulation playing in an alien museum..
