Newspaper claims suspect transformed into a goat

news.yahoo.com

LAGOS, Nigeria – One of Nigeria's biggest daily newspapers reported that police implicated a goat in an attempted automobile theft. In a front-page article on Friday, the Vanguard newspaper said that two men tried to steal a Mazda car two days earlier in Kwara State, with one suspect transforming himself into a goat as vigilantes cornered him.

A goat?

The paper quoted police spokesman Tunde Mohammed as saying that while one suspect escaped, the other transformed into a goat as he was about to be apprehended.

Now I have to say I am bewildered here. The police actually claimed themselves that they saw him transform/shape-shift into a goat in fron of their very eyes.

Okay, this is either a true account of shape-shifting, or the police were smoking something good.

I'm on the fence.

Man... we really have to consider the source I think here.

This is in Nigeria, and I'm really not sure what kind of myths form their collective conscious over there.

True. But if Yahoo ran it in a top-story, you'd think they have scrutinized it a bit? Maybe not. However, I have read some good Carlos Castenada books concerning hopi indians and myths, and along with the timeless truths I read, they spoke articulately about shape-shifting abilities.

But who knows. I just thought it was funny that police and the top newspaper there would run with it.

I think those police officers were either smoking too much crack or drinking too much brewskey.

Or this is just a copy of an article from some Nigerian equivilant to the Enquirer tabloid paper.

Cheers!!!!

Ok. Wow. I'm sure you all know of me, so, I will rate this an EPIC FAILURE.

There is no possible way that the car jacker transformed into a goat, my theory is they knew the suspect and let him off, and pointed at a goat and said that he turned into the goat.

That's my analysis for shapeshifting into goats.

Epic Failure.

NO I have NO idea who you are.
Why would I?

But you conclusion to the story is the most logical.
After all, Haven't we all won millions in the lotteries run by the Nigerians? We can trust whatever they say, RIGHT?

Peace

So you're buying the goat story? Really? Well... Hey, I have this puppy, but he's not doing so well in the climate where I live. If you could just wire me money to have him sent to your loving home, I'll totally give you a free dog.

Oh, and this is off topic, but I feel compelled to address another point you made. As people who read things besides the Bible have pointed out:

Bubonic Plague killing a bunch of people who live in caves, amongst rats, bats, and other flea-ridden animals, with no running water or waste management in effect, is not a sign of the Apocalypse.
